Eintracht Frankfurt Reveal Special Nike Jersey For DFB-Pokal Final

With less than two weeks to go until the 80th DFB Cup final, Eintracht Frankfurt have unveiled a special edition jersey for the clash with defending champions, RB Leipzig, and it features the years of the club’s previous cup triumphs, subtly embedded within.

Five years after the club’s last DFB Cup win, Eintracht Frankfurt is preparing for another cup final appearance, and this time it’s against reigning champions, RB Leipzig. It will be quite the occasion at the Olympiastadion Berlin on 3 June, and Die Adler will be dressed for the occasion, having unveiled a special new commemorative jersey from Nike. The final jersey is all white with a black stripe on the front, containing the years of the club’s previous cup triumphs – 1974, 1975, 1981, 1988 and 2018. Above it, the Eintracht Frankfurt logo sits proudly in black.

The jersey was unveiled by club captain, Sebastian Rode and four-time cup winner and club legend,  Karl-Heinz Körbel at the Cup handover in Berlin. Rode said of the shirt: “It looks really good. I like that it has the dates of previous successes. Anything is possible in this shirt.

Leipzig have one of the best teams in the Bundesliga,” said Körbel at the official Cup Handover. “But if anyone’s capable of beating them, it’s Eintracht Frankfurt. I’m here as a Cup ambassador – and I’d like to bring the trophy back here next year.

Due to the complicated production processes required, the final jersey will be available for adults and children from around Wednesday 31 May.
