adidas Launch Manchester United 23/24 Third Shirt

Ahead of the 23/24 season kick off, Adidas launch the new Manchester United third shirt, which, for the first time in over 50 years, features a simplified version of the club crest that sees the iconic Red Devil standing alone on the left chest.

With preseason all but done, attention turns to the return of the Premier League this weekend. But Manchester United will also have one eye on the welcome return of Champions League football at Old Trafford, and with that competition firmly in mind, the club get their new third kit from adidas. The shirt sees a stripped back design that ensures all emphasis is on the club’s famed identity, and specifically, the Red Devil.

Taking inspiration from the jersey worn in the 1909 Cup winning season, the design is a crisp cloud white base, providing the perfect backdrop for the simplified Red Devil emblem to stand out. The design is complimented by the Three Stripes branding along each sleeve in white and completed with a red ribbed crew neck collar.

Inigo Turner, Design Director for adidas Football apparel said: “With a history steeped in success, we have many Manchester United kits to take inspiration from. For this season’s third kit, the 1909 jersey was the catalyst for that inspiration – which also provided the perfect backdrop to amplify the club’s famous identity – the Red Devil. This design is intentionally understated, taking its cues from present day streetwear trends, with its cloud white background carefully chosen to let the Red Devil shine and inspire fire on the pitch.

We know the importance of this identity to the Manchester United fanbase and we’re proud to give fans a design that is just as much at home on the streets, as it is on the pitch.
