PUMA Drop Palmeiras 23/24 Third Shirt

The new Palmeiras third shirt for 23/24 from PUMA is a hard one to miss, arriving in a vibrant yellow colourway that literally puts the player’s hearts at the centre of the design. The shirt will debut this Sunday in the game against Vasco.

Clubs and brands often talk of putting the heart and soul of a club into the fabric of a new shirt, but Palmeiras and PUMA have taken that quite literally for the Brazilian side’s new third shirt. See, the Palmeiras Health and Performance Centre captured the heart rate of Alviverde players during the last rounds of the 2022 Brazilian Championship, which the team ended up winning. Those heart rates were then reproduced on the new third shirt, with the union of the lines of heartbeats making up the base feature of the design.

Once again, we present a uniform that celebrates a recent achievement for the club, the 2022 Brazilian Championship. Every Palmeiras fan vibrates and cheers a lot for Verdão, just as our players dedicate themselves body, soul and heart on the field. The shirt pays homage to all of us, people from Palmeiras, and to the way we connect,” declared Leila Pereira, president of Palmeiras.

The third shirt features the iconic “Yellow Alert” colour as its base, a tone created by PUMA to celebrate Palmeiras' strong connection with its fans. Darker green accents in the collar, cuffs, branding, sponsor and club crest then contrast with the body, tying in with the pinstripe heart rate lines that travel across the front.

The partnership between PUMA and Palmeiras continues to be successful, and this makes our work even more rewarding, as we can create kits based on an achievement that is still fresh in the minds and hearts of fans,” said Sebastián Diaz, CEO of PUMA Brazil.

The idea for this uniform genuinely happened during the final stretch of the 2022 Brasileirão. The entire PUMA team involved was following and rooting for Palmeiras, sharing the anxiety of winning with the fans and players, and thus the idea of registering the heartbeats of the players during these moments, which were extremely intense for all Palmeirans,” said Luciana Soares, marketing director for PUMA Brasil. “We try to reproduce their feelings. A feeling truly shared by all.”
