adidas & Maharishi Drop Collaborative Arsenal Collection

Merging elevated lifestyle wear with a stadium to the street aesthetic, adidas and Arsenal have partnered with urban, elevated UK streetwear label, Maharishi, for a collection that brings the best of London sport to the world.

Arsenal are no strangers to an off-field collaboration, having previously released collections with the likes of 424 and, more recently, Stella McCartney. Now, they once again open the door to the fashion world, linking up with London-based label, Maharishi. Founded in 1994, Maharishi boast a strong London heritage, and so the link up with the Gunners occurs organically, propelling this new collection from the Capital city and out to the world. From pitch to pavement and far beyond, the collection is set to be debuted by Arsenal players in the coming weeks.

The capsule brings a fashion-focused approach to adidas’s traditional sportswear ranges, and the articles within, such as the pre-match jersey, GORE-TEX jacket and pants, training short, track pant, hoodie and tee, will be worn both on and off field by Arsenal players in relevant moments (e.g., travel, training and pre match).

The collection, designed in collaboration between adidas and Maharishi, displays a bespoke camouflage pattern 'DPM: Bonsai Dragon Scales' inspired by the forthcoming Lunar Year of the Dragon.

Hardy Blechman, founder of Maharishi, said: “As an Arsenal fan, it’s an absolute honour to collaborate on this range. It combines the very best in adidas performance, with the streetwear aesthetic of Maharishi.

"Since 1994 we’ve taken a pacifist approach to military-grade utilitarian design, representing camouflage as a symbol of nature and art, and it is something we’re proud to apply in the design of this adidas and Arsenal collection. We can’t wait to see it on the players, and hope it is well received by supporters.”
