Kappa & Saint James Produce 110-Year Anniversary Kit For SM Caen

French side Stade Malherbe Caen celebrates its 110th anniversary this year, and for the occasion, Kappa, the club's kit maker, and Saint-James, the club's official dressing partner, have combined to produce a limited edition collector’s kit.

You can’t top a good anniversary kit, and for their 110th, Ligue 2 side SM Caen have gone down the collab route, bringing the two brands associated with the club together for the occasion. Fashion label, Saint James has been the official dresser of Stade Malherbe Caen since 2014, while Kappa has been the club's equipment supplier for the last two seasons, and now the two combine, first on a lifestyle capsule that subtly references the club through the use of its traditional colours, and then on an exclusive match kit.

The kit is set to be worn on 21 October in the match against Auxerre, at the Ornano stadium, while the players will also be wearing the lifestyle collection on their arrival for the game. The Kappa x Saint James Caen 110-year anniversary jersey features an off-white base with two horizontal stripes in the club colours: one red, one blue.

A special collaborative logo was also created for the capsule, integrating the iconic stripes of the Normandy brand into Kappa’s famous Omini logo. That new logo, which sees the “Saint James” wording below, features throughout the lifestyle collection as well as on the right chest of the kit, and on the upper arms.

Only 110 jerseys have been produced for retail, adding to the limited edition allure of the drop.
