Ready for the183rd Derby della Capitale, adidas have just revealed the AS Roma Origins Jersey – the club’s fourth kit for the 2023/24 season, which arrives as a tribute to the club’s history.

Harking back to the legacy of the 1990s and early 2000s, AS Roma will wear a special jersey in this weekend’s Derby della Capitale, and it’s one that evokes historical moments for the club with a return to the “traditional crest” and collar, redesigning it to suit contemporary tastes for new generations of fans.

Arriving in a classic presentation of Giallorossi red with orange trim, the shirt sees a black herringbone weave contrasting with that base colour, adding extra definition. Across the heart, the chest bears the club’s traditional crest, and although it’s familiar, it’s actually never been used in this shape on the pitch.

That modern and authentic representation of the traditional crest sees the original – used by AS Roma since 1927 along the Club's first 35 years – embellished with the first form of the ASR monogram taken from the badge that belonged to the Club's founder and first president. The Capitoline she-wolf, finishes off the redesign. The right side of the shirt then features the adidas logo in white, while the Three Stripes start from the iconic collar on an orange base and continue on the shoulders.

The team will take the field matching the bright red jersey with white shorts and black socks, as they did at the turn of the 1990s and 2000s.

The ASR Origins Jersey is on sale in all AS Roma Stores and on store.asroma.com and on adidas.com
