Kicking off a new partnership for the club, PUMA have revealed the new RB Leipzig home shirt for the 24/25 season, with a design that emphasises speed and shows the team’s connection to the city.
To date, RB Leipzig have only had shirts from Adidas and Nike, with the latter partnership coming to an end in 2024 after a 10 year association. But that end means that the Bundesliga side get to complete the “Big 3”, by signing a new partnership with PUMA. And from that comes their new home shirt for the 24/25 season, which comes in the traditional colours of white and red, although presented in an eye-catching graphic execution.
The design of the jersey was inspired by a well-known Leipzig landmark: the Paulinum. The unique building on Augustusplatz represents the combination of old and new like no other. It combines a lecture hall building and a church. Because of its architecture, it's one of the most important buildings in Leipzig. The row of windows on the huge glass facade is reflected abstractly in the jersey's pattern.
The silhouette of the city of Leipzig sits on the inside of the jersey's neck area alongside the club’s slogan, "You Can Do Anything!”.
The Authentic Jersey is made from PUMA's ULTRAWEAVE material, while it has also been made using PUMA’s innovative RE:FIBRE technology, which focuses on textile waste as the main material source for producing new clothing. The recycled material can be used again and again.
"The new PUMA jersey clearly underlines the dynamic nature of the way we play football," said RB Leipzig captain, Willi Orban. “It's also a statement for the region and the connection with the fans and the city. Together with our supporters, we will give 100 percent in the new jersey, both on and off the pitch. We are already really looking forward to the new season!”
