AS Monaco & Kappa Present 100th Anniversary Jersey

As the club celebrates its 100th anniversary this season, AS Monaco and Kappa have revealed a collector's jersey, available in a limited edition, inspired by the very first kit worn by the players of the Rock in 1924.

Back in 1924, AS Monaco first came into being, and 100 years later the club and current technical sponsors, Kappa, celebrate the milestone with a special limited edition kit. The stripped back shirt design is steeped in history and tradition, paying tribute to the first team to represent the club. The kit will make its debut against Montpellier this Saturday, 28 September, in the match dedicated to the celebration of the Centenary of AS Monaco.

The shirt arrives in a simplistic black base with a white polo collar, identical to that of 1924, lending it a rare elegance and authenticity. The black base also allows the crest – the only departure from the otherwise monochromatic presentation – to pop. It’s an embroidered replica of the one worn during the first seasons of AS Monaco, and while it proudly displays the letters "ASM" on its upper part, there are red and white diamonds underneath them reminiscent of the coat of arms of the House of Grimaldi, which inspired Princess Grace in 1960 to imagine the iconic diagonal that has adorned the Club's home kit ever since. At the bottom of the crest are the dates "1924-2024" which mark the Centenary of AS Monaco and underline a century of passion and excellence.

As a nice sign off for the design, the official logo of the Club's centenary celebrations appears on the back of the shirt, just below the collar, while the flocking of the numbers includes the names of players and coaches who have marked the history of AS Monaco. The Omini Kappa appears discreetly in tone-on-tone.
