Club America Debut Striking New 24/25 Nike Third Shirt

Following its reveal at the end of August, Liga MX side Club América debuted their new 24/25 third shirt from Nike, and they did so in the Campeones Cup win over Columbus Crew.

Nike quite literally flipped the conventional with the majority of their third shirt designs for the 24/25 season, switching the Swoosh to a vertical position across kits for the likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Spurs and more. And in amongst the reveal, which came as one big release at the end of August, was the gem that was Club América’s new kit, and now, almost a month later, it’s finally had its debut, and what a debut it was, with the men’s team wearing it in the Campeones Cup final clash with MLS side Columbus Crew – a game the Mexican side won on penalties.

Inspired by female Aztec warriors, Nike’s Club América third shirt features graphic elements that represent the club’s values and beliefs. A jaguar symbolises power, ferocity and courage; a hummingbird is a messenger of joy; a sunflower shows strength and loyalty; an agave plant represents passion and transformation; and butterflies symbolise rebirth. And that base design is then joined by an equally beautifully bespoke name and numberset, completing the unique look.

It’s a vibrantly colourful design that you would usually associate with the creative freedom that, in the past, has often only come with prematch shirts. Thankfully though, those pink and purple hues, yellow accents, all bordered by black, get the chance to stand out in action. Not a bad way to start life off – with a trophy!
