Kappa Make A Splash With Spezia's 24/25 Third Shirt Design

Arriving under the banner “Figlia de la Mare” (Daughter of the Sea), Kappa present the Spezia Calcio 24/25 third shirt design, which pays tribute to the unique beauty of the Spense sea.

Serie B side Spezia Calcio are one of those sides that benefit from the special attention that Kappa dish out, and that’s evident in the club’s new third shirt for the 24/25 season. The bespoke design merges the city’s close link to the sea, the heart of the city itself, and the football tradition that ties it all together for a unique look that celebrates the Gulf of Poets.

Going in the opposite direction to last season's third shirt, this season's features a light blue base colour with tonal navy overlays. The graphic on the jersey is obviously inspired by the seabed of the Gulf of Poets and the way the light refracts through the ocean water onto the seabed. On the back of the collar is a tribute to the Golfo Spezzino in the words "Splendida perla sul mar” (Splendid pearl on the sea). The phrase is taken from the poem "O bella Spezia", composed and dedicated to the city by Eugenio Giovando at the beginning of the last century.

The famous Scudetto of '44, which appears in the centre in a frontal position, recalls one of the highlights from the club’s history, while inside the collar are the famous words of Paolo Ponzo: "Ogni calciatore che veste questa maglia deve sentirsi da una parte onorato, dall'altra fortemente responsabile per ciò che rappresenta" (Every footballer who wears this shirt must feel on the one hand honoured, on the other strongly responsible for what he represents), taken from the book "Santa Domenica" by A. Neapolitan.
