Completing one of the surprise kit sets of the season, Kappa have revealed the 24/25 third shirt for Italian side Triestina 1918, taking the clean aesthetics of the home and away designs and presenting them in a contemporary colour scheme.
Earlier this season, Unione Sportiva Triestina Calcio 1918, the professional football club of Trieste in northeastern Italy, sprang to people’s attention thanks to a clean home and away kit combo, presented in red and white for the home and inverted for the away. They were finished off with subtle details by Kappa, marking them out as some of what we believed were the best kits of the season that most fans might have missed. Now, that duo is followed up by the third shirt design, completing a set that, had it released a little earlier, would’ve been a shoe-in for our best kit sets of the 24/25 season. Having missed out on a place on that prestigious list, the Serie C club will have to settle for being one of the best dressed in their league.
The third shirt design sees a black base with red accents popping in the form of the simple-yet-effective club crest and the always striking Kappa branding, sitting as it does on the chest and running down the shoulders. The red also sits on the cuffs to give the whole look a nice border. And you’d think that would be enough, but a closer look reveals even further details, with the body of the shirt featuring a tone-on-tone repeating halberd pattern (a combination of a battle axe and spear that make up the club’s crest), lending the design a nice texture.
While the home and away shirts both expressed a classic aesthetic, Triestina’s third shirt boasts a more modern and bold look. No arguing that the three combine for one hell of a set.
