S.S. Lazio are celebrating their 125-year anniversary in style with a new retro inspired kit provided by Mizuno. Released in the traditional white and blue of a Lazio kit, Mizuno have reopened the book of the ‘biancoceleste’ history.
To celebrate the anniversary of the club, Mizuno have provided S.S. Lazio with a brand-new kit for the rest of the 24/25 season. Inspired the slogan “From the Bottom of The Heart”, this shirt is designed to capture the rich history and culture of the club and its fans. The ‘retro style’ of the jersey, with the three bands of different shades of blue, is dedicated to the typical style and colours of the jerseys worn by players in the 80’s. Although a tough era for Lazio, this is believed to be the time that forged the bond with the ‘biancoceleste’ fanbase. Included with a nod to the 79/80 season, the shirt also features the old Lazio crest – a stylised eagle with two large wings, between which the head of the imperial symbol stands out.
Showing their dedication to sustainability, Mizuno have custom made this shirt with 100 percent recycled materials, included with specific Mizuno technology to make a highly breathable and lightweight shirt. A standout detail on this shirt being the date 9 January 1900 embossed on the back of the shirt under the collar, a date engraved in the minds and fans of all ‘biancoceleste’ fans. From Piazza Della Libertà, 125 years ago, a dream called Lazio began.
Completing the capsule is a navy blue pre match jacket, featuring gold detailing on the stylised eagle and Mizuno logo. The jacket is marked with the same subtle detailing as the front of the anniversary shirt. This retro inspired duo is a stylish nod to Lazio’s history as well as projecting them to future success.
