adidas Reveal Brand-New Away Kits For The Women's Euro 2025

The Women’s Euro 2025 is fast approaching and with that we see fresh new threads for each team. Adidas are the first to unveil bold new away kits for six competing teams, taking inspiration from the artistic culture and heritage of each nation.

We are looking forward to an incredible summer of football, with the Women’s Euro set to begin on 2 July. Today, adidas have revealed the new collection of performance away kits crafted exclusively for six of the competing teams – Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Wales – as they prepare to compete in Switzerland. The home kits for all of these nations will remain the same as the ones used for the Men's Euro 2024, except from Germany who will be wearing a special anniversary kit.

This year, adidas designers pulled inspiration from the prominent artistic styles that give each nation a unique cultural identity. The Three Stripe brand have crafted contemporary fashion-forward designs that celebrate each nations history whilst propelling them into the future.

Sam Handy, GM of Football at adidas said: "The importance of the jersey cannot be understated – in both football and culture – it represents hope, passion, and a collective sense of unity that connects a nation ahead of a major tournament. For UEFA Women’s EURO 2025, we focused our efforts on delivering performance-first kits, with contemporary designs that connect players and fans to the core visual DNA of each nation. We can’t wait to see these designs stand out on pitch and in the stands in Switzerland, this summer.”

Although aesthetic was a focus on these kits, each shirt is built for performance at the forefront. Incorporating either HEAT.RDY or AEROREADY technology, adidas have designed kits that optimize comfortability and use absorbent materials to keep players dry in the Swiss heat.

Belgium’s new away kit is inspired by the abstract geometric patterns that emerged in the nation’s art from the 1920’s onwards. A daring yellow, orange and red modern interpretation of the traditional RBFA flame features as the focus design on the front of the jersey.  Completed with a ‘Belgium’ sign off stamped in a flame graphic to match.

Sweden’s eye catching away kit champions pioneering artists whose groundbreaking work pushed boundaries and challenged traditional narratives. Featuring an abstract blue graphic that fades out from dark to light, the visuals pay homage to some of the earliest known forms of Swedish Abstract Expressionism.

Under-dogs Wales also have a brand-new away kit for their first ever international tournament, influenced by the appearance of the traditional Welsh Love Spoon – an ancient symbol of loyalty and togetherness. The intersecting wavy lines featured on the front of the shirt represent the shape of the Spoon’s structure, using lighter and darker hues of mint green. In red, ‘Gorau Chwarae Cyd Chwarae’ is seen as a sign off on the back of the neck, meaning ‘It is better to play together’.

Just over a week ago we saw German influencer Caro Daur tease this new away kit underneath a long black coat at Berlin Fashion week – building plenty of excitement. We now get a better look. Germany’s away kit celebrates the nations rich street art scene. A modern graffiti-style pattern is fashioned in various shades of red as to mirror the vibrant murals found across multiple German cities. The ‘Deutschland’ sign off, seen at the back of the collar, is also printed in a yellow spray-paint design as to add to the artistic vibes of the kit. The German team will be looking finish what they couldn’t at the last euros, after losing in the final to England thanks to that Chloe Kelly winner. What a time.

Pulling inspiration from the Realism and Naturalism movements associated with the Renaissance period, Italy’s away kit is dressed in mint green with a vine branch-like pattern running across the front and back of the shirt. ‘Italia’ appears on the back of the collar in Italic writing as the shirts sign off.

Arriving in an off-white base paired with pink and grey geometric shapes, Spain’s design is rooted in the Cubism movement of the 20th century. This movement was famous for creating abstract visuals by breaking up component parts and reassembling them into an abstract design. This away kit represents a new ear for Spain and hopefully another successful tournament for the World Champions.

Alongside the Women’s Euro away kit collection, Scotland and Northern Ireland have also received new garms for 2025, which they will wear for any international games that they are set to play. The Scotland jersey takes colour inspiration from the Primrose and Pink colours traditionally worn in the late 19th and early 20thcenturies. It won’t be hard to spot these on the pitch. Meanwhile, the Northern Ireland away kit pays homage to ‘The Dark Hedges’ in County Antrim – a stunning avenue of beach trees intertwined that create a tunnel-like effect. The shirt sees an all-white base with branch-like patterns vertically down the front, finished with the traditional green accents.
