River Plate have officially unveiled their Third Shirt for the upcoming 2025 season, showing an unprecedented arrangement of the two traditional club colours. The team headed straight into their new garms, debuting the kit against Godoy Cruz last night.
Club Atlético River Plate are off to a strong start in the Argentine Primera division, staying unbeaten in their first four games. We have already seen the releases of both the home and away shirt before the start of the season, with the home shirt sticking to traditions of an all white body finished with the classic red stripe diagonally across. The away shirt took on an innovative new style in a colour scheme similar to their training kit, featuring a deep purple body complimented by pink-ish accents. Now, the third shirt has finally been revealed and dove straight into the action as they debuted it in their fixture vs Godoy Cruz.
The new third shirt embraces a fresh take on the home kit, staying loyal to the traditional red and white of the club – with a twist. Designed in a split canvas, the two traditional colours of River Plate are separated by a thick black line that runs vertically down the center of the shirt. The shirt design will be the first time River Plate have ever worn a model divided in two halves. It’s definitely giving Juventus 2019 vibes – we all remember Ronaldo ripping up Serie A in that 50/50 design.
This is a huge year for the club, with the Club World Cup coming up in the summer, so its safe to say this kit is in for some serious action.
