Adidas have unveiled the Mexico national team kit for 2025 and it is a beauty. Celebrating the country’s rich cinema heritage over the years, black and gold adorn intricate detailing across the jersey, bringing to life Mexico’s golden culture.
Mexico look to cement their name as one of the most recognisable teams on the international scene, with the build-up to World cup 2026 there is no better time than now to announce their presence. Their new kit does exactly that. Adidas have designed a kit that celebrates an era where Mexican cinema lit up the screens and the legacy it left on the nation’s identity. The design highlights the rich culture of the country, with sophistication and style sitting at the heart of the design.
Pablo Cavallaro, Senior Marketing Director at adidas Mexico, said: “This launch is a declaration of identity, of pride; it is an opportunity for all Mexicans to wear the symbol of a culture that has left an indelible mark on the world. Mexico continues to be a leading country in various disciplines, and with this collection, fans too can be part of that history.”
The Mexico national team players now become the stars of their own film, with all eyes on what Mexico can succeed in the next couple of years for the fans that live and breathe fútbol. Adidas have dressed the players in a kit that is appropriate for stars, fashioning a clean black and gold colourway. The all-black base sees glowing gold accents amongst a deconstructed Mexico crest, which is paired next to the iconic Trefoil logo. The Trefoil has not been seen on Mexico jersey for over 30 years but now makes a triumphant return in one of the cleanest national team kits we have seen in years. Give us some serious 80’s nostalgia. Detailing on the collar and cuffs take on inspiration from the Mexican tradition of the Mariachi, staying true to the traditional culture of the country.
Ivar Sisniega, president of the Mexican Soccer Federation, said: “For us, wearing this collection in the upcoming matches is an honor. Bringing the passion of soccer to an international stage is like being part of a movie in which our Mexican heritage is told, not only through a script, but via every step, pass and shot on the field. We are thrilled that this collection captures all that our culture represents.”
The jersey arrives alongside a golden collection, featuring matchday and lifestyle Originals pieces including tracksuit, hoodies and Samba. The Mexico team will be wearing the kit for this first time on 21 March against Canada, taking the stunning new design straight into the spotlight in the semi-finals of the Concacaf Nations League.
