Swiss Super League side, Servette FC, are celebrating 135 years since the club founded in style, with adidas designing a special edition kit to commemorate the occasion. The jersey embraces the spirit of the past and pays homage to their rich history.
To celebrate 135 years since the club was founded, adidas have designed a special edition anniversary kit for Servette FC. The Swiss Super League side founded in Geneva are one of Switzerland’s most successful clubs, winning 17 national titles alongside eight Swiss Cups. They now celebrate this rich history with a classic kit design, embodying the beauty of the past and the club culture.
The jersey models the traditional colours of the club, designed in a full Grenat colourway with subtle gradient detailing of eagles and keys. Darker red accents add texture to the adidas logo as well as the three stripes on the shoulders. Bringing a vintage feel to the design, the jersey fashions a buttoned fold over collar – similar to the retro designs seen throughout their history. An old club crest is embroidered into the chest, symbolising the heritage and pride of the institution and acting as a nod to teams of the past. In honour of the anniversary, the number ‘135’ is also displayed on the back of the jersey.
The 135-year anniversary shirt arrives as a limited-edition piece, with only 1,890 being available – a nod to 1890 being the year the club was founded.
