Adidas continue to provide for the football fans, as the Three Stripes bring back the iconic ’99 Real Madrid home and away shirts. To launch the re-release, adi teamed up with club legends including Raúl, Iker Casillas and Guti alongside fans and Madrid creatives to celebrate the memorable return.
We all love a vintage jersey, passed down over generations and continues to remain timeless. Adidas have listened to the fans and are delving into the archives to bring back an absolute beauty of a kit. The Three Stripes have officially revived the iconic Real Madrid home and away shirts from the 99/00 season, that saw the budding young talents of Raúl, Iker Casillas and Fernando Morientes drag their names into the spotlight winning the Champions League. To celebrate the launch of the bring-backs, adidas linked up with these star players, alongside DJ Mariio and other fans and creatives, to create a legendary campaign video and photo shoot on the local pitches of Madrid.
A true one-to-one recreation, the crisp white home shirt and bold black away kit make their return. Each shirt with golden accents that mirror Los Blancos success and greatness that never goes out of fashion. The home shirt fashions a classic polo neck collar, with the esteemed three stripes falling down the sleeves in navy blue and gold. The polo neck collar is also present on the away kit, whilst golden rays contrast the all-black base. Adding that extra touch of nostalgia, the renowned Teka sponsorship is reunited with the kit, completing the perfect comeback.
The home and away kit is dropped within an extended collection, featured alongside a classic tracksuit that is the ultimate blend of football heritage and Madrid style. Adi and Real Madrid mean business.
