Nike are first to reveal the Club América x California collection. Featuring a unique design, the pre-match jersey set to be worn during warm ups is a beauty, inspired by CA’s transcendence from Mexico to across the world.
As Nike's last campaign as kit provider for Liga MX side Club América, they are looking to go out with a bang. And from the looks of the latest reveal, that is exactly what they are doing. The Swoosh have just unveiled the Club América x California collection, featuring a stunning pre-match jersey ready for the rest of the season. As we all know CA are not afraid of going against most design 'norms' when it comes to jersey's, and they bring us an innovative design once again – blending tradition and identity with a rebellious attitude.
Drawing from the identity and fan culture around the club, the jersey fashions a distinct design in a graffiti-style pattern. A central Nike logo and CA club crest is surrounded by unique prints placed asymmetrically across the front and back of the shirt. It sees similarities to the CA third shirt from the 20/21 season, which took inspiration from a previous jersey designed by club legend Guillermo 'Memo' Ochoa. Both see an off-white base stamped with monochrome patterns all over, however the 24/25 pre-match jersey takes a bigger focus on street culture and art. Links to California can be seen across the patterns – displaying the connection between the club and the rich Latin American culture that lies within Cali.
