From the terraces to the turntables, Djurgårdens IF continue to blur the lines between football and club culture. Teaming up with adidas and Stockholm-born DJ heavyweight Jeremy Olander, the club drops a third kit that pulses with the energy of both matchday roars and warehouse rave floors.
From the terraces to the dancefloor, Djurgårdens IF have always moved in rhythm with the underground. Now, in collaboration with adidas and globally acclaimed DJ Jeremy Olander, the club drops a third kit that hits different — a tribute to the shared pulse of football and electronic music. Anchored in sound and spirit, the release is soundtracked by Olander’s exclusive new track Animal Garden, capturing the raw energy that connects Djurgården fans from matchday chaos to after-hours euphoria.
Since the 1980s, Djurgården supporters have helped shape not only terrace culture but also Stockholm’s growing club scene — bringing the energy from matchdays into underground venues across the city where they organised parties, played records and danced to electronic music. Rooted in Slakthusområdet, an area known for both football and nightlife, the new third kit celebrates this crossover, in collaboration with adidas. The midnight blue and laser red design nods to the neon glow of the district and the visual identity of both the club and electronic music culture.
Daniel Bergström, Head of Marketing at Djurgården Fotboll, said: "Since the ’90s, Djurgården’s fan culture and the club scene have been deeply intertwined — shaped by music and fashion, with a strong influence from the UK. With this year’s third kit, together with adidas, we want to honour the culture that connects us. The shirt highlights that heritage and our roots in Slakthusområdet – a place where the lines between terrace culture and Stockholm’s club scene blur. Through the campaign’s visual expression, we wanted to reflect exactly that – the visual attitude that’s long defined both club spaces and Djurgården’s supporter culture, where ’90s aesthetics, rave flyers and terrace fashion merge into something that feels both nostalgic and contemporary."
Olander, a lifelong Djurgården fan and frontman of the launch, soundtracks the drop with Animal Garden, a melodic heater released via his label, Vivrant. “In 2011, early in my career, I went to a Djurgården match at Stadion and stood in the home end for the first time. The club was having a tough season, fighting to avoid relegation, and the atmosphere was electric — full of emotion, tension and belief," explained Olander. "That energy inspired me to make Animal Garden, a tribute to both Djurgården and Stockholm. When the club reached out about the kit and the creative behind it, releasing the track as part of the launch just made sense.”
The Djurgårdens IF third kit drops online on 9 April at 5 PM CET.
