Power Football Boots: adidas Predator Powerswerve - 22/07/08
An iconic football boot of our time the adidas Predator PowerSwerve has been released in this brand new classic white/black colour scheme.
Originally planned for a release in August, adidas yesterday brought forward the release of this sharp looking white/black coloured Predator PowerSwerve due to extremely high demand. Already being worn by professionals during pre-season friendlies, such as Dirk Kuyt for Liverpool, it won't be long till we see the likes of Michael Ballack and Steven Gerrard gracing the English Premiership in this classically styled football boot.
Not many football boots have had such an impact on our much loved game like the adidas Predator football boot range, and the PowerSwerve is the ninth generation packed with the most advanced technology.
The adidas Predator football boots' original design brief back in 1994 was to produce a boot that generated more power, more swerve and more control. The first Predator was a classic simplified black and white boot, allowing it's performance to do the talking. This latest boot, very much like the first adidas Predator, looks crisp with its lush black Kangaroo leather and clean white three stripes.
The innovative rippled fins of the first adidas Predator boots have been replaced by a more subtle Power Zone on top of the foot, made from adidas developed Smart Foam a material which reacts to impact to deliver more power and extra swerve. This is complimented by a soft internal layer allowing the ball to rebound when struck, and the cushioning effect aids ball control.
To deliver the most powerful Predator Football boot ever, adidas devloped a unique dynamic Power Pulse system within the sole plate. A chamber visible when viewing the underneath of the boot is filled with metallic powder, which shifts weight forward when striking the ball to give that extra power.
