The design of the Nike Vapor Superfly football boots has revolutionised the world of football boots, by taking lightweight boots to another level. Nike have implemented their unique Flywire technology, designed to make a football boot stronger without sacrificing weight.
The essence of Flywire is to utilise high-strength threads, acting like the cables on a suspension bridge to give lots of support and strength, thus reducing the amount of material required for the upper.
The Nike Vapor Superfly football boots have kept the sole plate from the Vapor SL, but made a few modifications. The new studs are hollowed out to reduce material and weight, whilst increasing the studs strength through the rounded structure.
The carbon-fibre plate is one of the lightest sole units around, with a unique stud configuration to help players accelerate quicker, react quicker and change the game quicker!
The upper of the Nike Vapor Superfly football boots is made from a Teijin synthetic material. This single skin upperis ultra-thin, to give excellent ball touch and feel, so the Superfly is unrivalled when it comes to close ball-control. Nike have further improved control of the ball at speed, by identifying the key speed touch area and applying a special coating to the upper of the boot to improve grip.
The release of the Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly football boots has been highly anticipated, and we are pleased to confirm a date has been set for the Superfly to hit the shelves!
