Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly Orion Blue/Metallic Silver/Dark Obsidian
The new Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly colourway has arrived! The next launch for the Superfly football boots will be the Orion Blue/Metallic Silver/Dark Obsidian, adding to the Platinum/Hot Red and Black/Volt colours already available.
The Superfly has already proved popular with top pro and amateur players alike and adds to Nike's range of speed football boots. Of course, there has already been plenty written and said about the Mercurial Vapor Superfly, from the explosive launch, controversial re-release and the goal-scoring exploits across the globe, but it's no secret we're big fans of the Vapor football boots here at the SoccerBible.
At the SoccerBible we've been championing Nike's innovations and attempts to create a pure speed soccer cleat. So you can understand we're excited to announce the Orion Blue/Metallic Silver/Dark Obsidian colour is available for pre-order now, as it will be hitting stores a month later on 1st November 2009.
For those of you new to the Superfly phenomenon, you may be wondering what all the fuss is about. Nike spent two years developing and crafting their latest line of top performance speed boots, promising us one of the most advanced football boots ever. Plenty of innovation went into creating the Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly football boots, including the controversial Nike Flywire technology.
The Nike Flywire technology has strategically placed filaments across the upper of the boot to act like cables on a suspension bridge, designed to offer support precisely where the foot needs it. When the central lacing system is done up the cables form a supportive wrap around the foot, meaning you don't need additional material and support, which helps to make the superfly super-light.
Another unique feature of the Superfly football boots is the clean boot surface, the upper is not interrupted with excessive or unnecessary stitching, instead there is one seam tucked away at the heel of the boot. And whilst we're talking about unique features, we can't forget to the responsive carbon fibre sole-plate. Featuring injected TPU studs configured for speed and hollowed out so they are more lightweight and stronger due to the rounded structure.
There is currently no other boot available like the Nike Vapor Superfly, and the performance advantages this football boot offers have made it the boot choice of Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Franck Ribery and Didier Drogba, an impressive list of players and a true endorsement for the boots performance!
The new Orion Blue Nike Superfly colourway is a stunning addition to an exclusive family of football boots. Available for pre-order now, these boots are released on 1st November for around £225 GBP, but we're just looking forward to seeing the players take to the field wearing this new Superfly colourway.
