adidas Jabulani Angola Football - African Cup of Nations Ball

adidas Jabulani Angola Football - African Cup of Nations Ball

The adidas Jabulani Angola ball is the official match ball for the Africa Cup of Nations, and it continues the celebration of football on the African continent in 2010.

Inspired by the yellow, red and black of the Angolan flag, the colourful and mystical design of the Jabulani Angola ball reflects the commitment and passion shared by adidas and African football. Angolan pride in its culture and heritage is strongly represented through this vibrant ball, which is hoped will inspire some great football moments this January as sixteen teams battle to become Champions of Africa.

The Jabulani Angola ball features adidas' ground-breaking Grip n Grove profile, to produce a stable ball flight and perfect grip under all conditions. Comprising of only eight thermal bonded 3-D panels, which for the first time are spherically moulded, the adidas Jabulani Angola ball has been developed to be the most perfectly round and accurate ball ever produced.

After the spectacular success of the first ever official ball for CAF, the [adidas] Wawa Aba in Ghana 2008, we are proud to present to you the new official ball for African football for the next two years. I have confidence that the Jabulani Angola will be the perfect icon for the 2010 Orange Africa Cup of Nations. says Amr Shaheen, Marketing Director of CAF.

While Zambian football legend, Kalusha Bwalya did not hide his admiration towards the new African ball I envy the today s generation of African football players because they have the opportunity to play with such a high tech ball that would help them scoring more goal, not to mention that it being produced by the best sports manufacturer in the world
