Puma v1.10 Football Boots - Black/Team Gold/Puma Red

Puma v1.10 Football Boots - Black/Team Gold/Puma Red

The Puma v1.10 is truly a unique football boot with distinct styling and playing attributes, therefore, it is only fitting these football boots receive an exciting new colourway such as the black/team gold/puma red.

Previous gold incarnations of the Puma v1 range have proved to be extremely popular with players including Samuel Eto'o and Peter Crouch. So it was only a matter of time until the v1.10 football boots received a golden makeover, and following the three previous v1.10 releases, this new colourway is bizarrely the most subtle!

Currently the Puma v1.10 football boots stand alone in the speed boots market, as their design, construction and engineering is completely unique. They are the result of a very simple design brief, which is to "give you the confidence to be your fastest". And Puma have achieved this through a combination of materials working in unison to create a lightweight speed boot.

To assist ball touch, control and dribbling a new lightweight microfibre synthetic material is placed over the toe-area, and continues onto the lace-cover. The new material replicates the ball feel of a good leather, with the added bonus of a unique coating that generates fantastic friction between the boot and the ball.

The redesigned lacing system of the Puma v1.10 football boots has a central lacing system covered by a new lace-cover. The lace-cover is held into position by internal elastic, and creates a very large and very clean striking surface. The central lacing system is complimented by a soft and comfortable, almost trainer-like, breathable tongue.

The medial and lateral quarter of the Puma v1.10 football boots is made from a textile material, as featured on the Puma v1.815 Ferrari boots, which is a strong durable material that has been treated with a dirt and water-repellent coating.

The thermoplastic transparent heel counter is solid to provide the required heel stability, support and protection, and forms part of a one-piece speed outsole. Incorporating carbon-fibre into its structure, the outsole provides pressure distribution, reactivity and flexibility, whilst movement is further complimented by the pointed stud configuration, to ensure smooth ground penetration for optimal traction.

If the first three Puma v1.10 colourways were too bold, then the new black/gold/red Puma v1.10's certainly offer a classy alternative to the innovative speed boots. The level of craftsmanship is there to see, with the quality stitching and moulding, and Puma have created a boot that has a great fit, is comfortable, offers excellent traction and movement, and a good touch and feel for the ball. The new Puma v1.10 football boots are expected to be available from 9th January and should cost around £120 GBP.
