Puma PowerCat 1.10 Tricks Football Boots - Navy/Fluro Peach/Red

Puma PowerCat 1.10 Tricks Football Boots - Navy/Fluro Peach/Red

The SoccerBible unveils the next colourway for the Puma PowerCat 1.10 football boots - the Tricks Edition. Designed to compliment the Puma Africa Unity kit to create a unique head-to-toe look on pitch for this summer's World Cup in South Africa.

We say it's already an excellent colour combination to sit alongside the Black, White and Yellow editions previously available. But what do you think?!

The Puma PowerCat 1.10 football boots are a great combination of engineering and comfort, and we can see Puma are making great strides with their boot development. Because, just like the Puma v1.10 speed football boots before them, the PowerCat's are unlike any Puma boot we have seen before.

The Puma PowerCat 1.10 football boots are a great combination of materials, engineering, performance and comfort. They have a completely unique look, and plenty of pro support including Michael Carrick, Tomas Rosicky, Bacary Sagna, Shay Given and Nemanja Vidic converting to the PowerCat. Of course, the most notable new addition to that list is Chelsea and France striker Nicolas Anelka, who has opted to switch from the speed of the v1.10 to the power of the PowerCat!

This unique "Lava" colour combination follows on from Puma's Africa movement throughout 2010. The colours are said to be inspired by the Heat of the Sun, the Vast African Sky and the soil beneath - all powered by the centre of the Earth. At a time when volcanos and lava are firmly in the news, this new boot is sure to make a impact on the pitch.

For comfort, fit and ball feel, Puma have gone with a natural material and used a supersoft, premium kangaroo leather for the boot's upper. To enhance ball touch, increase the kicking area and improve pressure distribution, the Puma PowerCat football boots feature an off-centred lacing system, as favoured by many top pro players.

To improve fit, the boots have been formed around Puma's new anatomically-shaped PowerLast, an evolution of the Puma AptoLast. Which once again follows the foot's natural contours for a great fit, but provides more volume in the forefoot and instep allowing the upper to mould to the players foot. To further improve fit and comfort, the anatomically shaped removable sockliner provides cushioning and shock absorption.

This Tricks edition will initially only be available in a Firm Ground fixed sole plate, unlike the other colour options which have also been rolled out in soft ground and hard ground editions

The standout feature of the PowerCat football boots is the Puma 3D Power Shooting Technology (Puma 3D PST) located and built-into the boots kicking area. Designed to increase shooting power, while maintaining ball touch and feel, the 3D PST achieves increased shot power through its extremely high rebound properties, absorbing more than the typical amount of energy upon ball impact and releasing more power with every shot.

The Puma PowerCat 1.10 Tricks football boots are an excellent follow up to the previous power boot, the Puma v-Konstrukt. Comfortable yet protective Puma have brought some unique technology within the competitive power and accuracy market, and we reckon the PowerCat can certainly hold its' own amongst the big hitters in the sector.

These new boots are available to pre-order from today, 14th May, and you should expect to see them priced around £125 GBP / $185 USD when they hit selected stores.
