Pele Sports 1970 Football Boots - Black/Yellow

We welcome a new brand to the SoccerBible - so check out the first in a series of football boots releases from Pele Sports, the brand who have the luxury of one of the greatest names in football to adorn their football boots. Check out the Pele Sports 1970 Football Boots now with our exclusive First Look gallery...

The new Pele Sports range includes performance football boots, retro clothing and more all blessed with that iconic "Pele" signature. The first foray into the boot market, these premium heritage style football boots feature a clean, classic design with a focus for anyone who can t get enough of that Brazilian-style enthusiasm for the game.

Pele Sports say that this new range has been designed for "People who just want to play or be part of the game, whether on a full-size pitch or any patch of ground."

Released in three tiers and two colourways, the Pele Sports boots are named after the World Cups which turned Pele [the player] into a house hold name. The most famous being the 1970 World Cup, where a young Pele and his Brasil side dominated the tournament to be arguably the greatest side ever to grace the pitch. Fittingly then, Pele Sports chose the 1970 as their top level boot.

The boots are offered in both fixed firm ground and traditional 6-stud soft ground sole plate options. The upper of the 1970 is made from a premium kangaroo leather and a moulded insole, which makes this a soft, supple and comfortable boot.

Of course, so much premium leather means this is no speed boot weight range, tipping the scales at just over 320g. But you certainly get a lot of classic retro boot for your money!

The Pele Sports 1970 boots have a familiar look (we're sure plenty of SoccerBible regulars will have worked out what we mean) with a clean looking upper. The larger fold down tongue incorporates the boot name logo at the bottom, with variations for the 1970, 1962 and 1958 versions.

Modern design takes over the sole plate, with a dot matrix style print pattern made up from different number "10s" - the number made so famous in Brazilian yellow by Pele.

The iconic Pele signature adorns the outside heel of the boot and the tongue, coloured to match the stitching around the boot.

The Pele Sports 1970 Football Boots are available from today 10th June, where you should expect to pay around £120 GBP / $180 USD for these top of the range football boots.
