adidas F50 adizero Prime Football Boots - Black/White/Electricity

After all the months of speculation and rumours, we can proudly present you with the new adidas adizero Prime football boots! What a way to kick of 2011 by introducing you to on of the most technologically advanced football boots on the market! Here at SoccerBible HQ we haven't been this exciting about a boot release is quite a while! As always, we're looking forward to hearing your reactions to these new speed boots!

There have been images circulating the forums for months now with some interesting colour-ways rumoured to be official adidas productions. For the launch of the adidas adizero Prime football boots, adidas have released two colour-ways. One being the Warning/Black/White boots and the others being these striking Black/White/Electricity football boots! As expected, SoccerBible has a whole host of exclusive imagery that showcase the new boots in all of their glory!

Last week, Nike stole the pre-Christmas boot headlines by releasing new colour-ways of their 4 popular boot silos. The start of 2011 though is officially owned by adidas! Pre-launch, there was no clear release date predicted by the hardcore boot fans. Many expected a summer release for the new adizero's and the Prime boots but we're more than happy to surprise you all with what will already be one of the most talked about boot releases of the 2011.

So lets get down to business. What's new about the adizero Prime football boots? We'll lets get the bad news out of the way first. The new adidas F50 adizero Prime soccer shoes will set you back a cool £210 GBP / $320, which is contrary to earlier reports that put the Prime at £260 GBP/ $400 USD! adidas have bumped up the price of the Prime's due to new tech advancements that have made throughout the boot. adidas claim to have once again pushed the boundaries of boot design and boot weigh to new levels to create THE lightest boot ever made!

The main question on everyone's mind is how much do they weigh? The adidas F50 adizero Prime football boots tip the scales at a featherweight 145g! That's 5g lighter than the Puma v1.10 SL football boots. OK, so we know that's only 5g but to adidas that's the difference between having the lightest production boot on the market and not. They've taken the crown off Puma with the release of the adizero Prime football boots.

The brand new adidas adizero Prime football boots are constructed using a new material upper, which is thinner to reduce weight and give an improved feel for the ball. The adiLite Twin material is once again a single-layer synthetic upper and features a striking new design!

One of the signature features of the new F50 adizero Prime soccer cleats is the TPU Bottom Frame. This is the main design features that differentiates the Prime's from the standard adizero football boots. Coloured electric green on these boots, the bottom frame offer lateral stability and support. It is able to transfer forces from the out-sole of the upper and offers protection against upper abrasion.

One of the major innovations of the original adizero was the adidas Sprint Frame. This lightweight adidas out-sole was a huge leap forward in terms of lightweight boot development. For obvious reasons, adidas haven't tampered with this. The lightweight out-sole is engineered to offer stability through geometry and lightweight materials. Expect to see it utilised on more adidas boots throughout 2011!

The new stud shape and configuration for the F50 adizero football boots that proved popular with the pro's has returned to feature in the new Prime editions. The Traxion studs are shaped for maximum acceleration and spaced to provide support during movement.

Comfort and fit is provided by the Internal TPU Support Bands, which offer lateral stability and support. They also re-enforce the single layer material, and are the reason the upper material of the adizero Prime can be so thin, as they maintain the boots' shape. The upper also features a new enhanced grain which is design to further enhance ball control.

Visually, the new adidas adizero Prime football boots are quite a significant step away from the original adizero boot design. One of the main new visual features is the print graphic on the front toe area of the boot. adidas have been quite vague on its purpose but from what we understand, the design is purely for aesthetic reasons and offers no technological benefits. Also another change is the re-positioning of the adidas three stripes which have been made smaller.

There's no doubt the adizero Prime is going to be a love/hate boot due to it's price band, as it enters Nike Elite territory. But after such a stirling year, you can't really blame adidas for pushing the limits of the most popular boot range on the planet at the moment.

As we've mentioned the adidas F50 adizero Prime football boots are expected to cost around £210 GBP/ $320 USD when they are released on 1st February, although you can be first to own a pair if you pre-order from early January.

They're quite an exceptional boot to kick-off 2011 with, and you've seen the exclusive unveiling of the adidas F50 adizero Prime football boots, we'd love to hear your opinions...
