Nike Mercurial Vapor VI Football Boots - Windchill/Dark Obsidian/Chlorine Blue

Nike Mercurial Vapor VI Football Boots - Windchill/Dark Obsidian/Chlorine Blue

The long list of colour-ways that Nike have designed for the Nike Vapor VI collection has seen many fans of the boot asking for something slightly different in-place of some recycled colours Nike  have used so far. With the new Windchill/Black/Chlorine Blue Nike Vapor VI football boots, Nike have given Vapor fans a boot that epitomises the famous flashy reputation of the Nike Vapor series.

We've got a feeling that these new Nike Vapor VI football boots are going to go down well with the army of Vapor fans out there. As always, SoccerBible has all the exclusive images you'll need...

The Nike Vapor boots can't really be put in the same class as the adizero's when it comes to weight as they tip the scales 85g heavier. Even so, the Nike Vapor boots were the original speed boot to take the world by storm and have gained a loyal following amongst boot fans and professionals. They don't have the same stripped-back bare look that the adizero football boots posses, but have a whole host of technologies and design features that stand it apart from it's adidas rival.

Even though adidas are dominating the weight category, the Nike Vapor boots have a certain aura and ego that will always make them relevant in the speed boot market. They're the boots designed for the big personalities and superstars of the game who represent everything that comes with wearing the over-sized swoosh on their feet.

As these new Vapors are a colour-up nothing has changed on the tech front, from the original release Vapor VI. Meaning the boots still weigh-in at an impressive 230grams, and the upper of the Nike Mercurial Vapor VI football boots is still made from a Teijin synthetic material, engineered to conform to your foot's shape for ultimate comfort.

The re-engineered Nike Vapor VI upper is enhanced with specifically placed 'ball-control coating' on the lateral forefoot, to aid control of the ball at top speed. The new bright colour-way with the colourful pattern instep design will certainly help your team-mates find your feet! A Vapor favourite returns in the form of the stretch-synthetic leather lace cover, to increase ball contact area for improved accuracy and touch. Whilst an internal heel counter helps lock down the foot during ball strike, plus providing a snug, secure fit.

A glass fibre chassis brings you closer to the new enhanced traction elements. The new technology includes direct injected studs, incorporating 8 cored-out studs to provide a dramatic 12% weight reduction whilst enhancing strength and durability. Acceleration and sprinting is further enhanced by concentrated forefoot zonal spikes, inspired by tracks spikes to optimise grip at toe-off for an extra burst of speed, giving you an advantage over the opposition.

With adidas recently releasing the follow up to the popular adizero boots, it looks like Nike are going to make us wait a little longer before we see a Vapor VII boot. Even if that's the case, I'm sure there will be no complaints if they continue to release colour-ways like this!

As always, we'd love to here your thoughts on Nike's newest Vapor VI colour-way. Share your opinions with the rest of the SoccerBible community!
