adidas F50 adizero Football Boots - White/Pink/Cyan

adidas F50 adizero Football Boots - White/Pink/Cyan

We've officially lifted the lid on the new White/Pink/Cyan adiZero Prime football boots along with the new leather adiZero's. Now it's time to take a look a the newest addition to the adiZero series - the standard synthetic White/Pink/Cyan adiZero soccer shoes.

With the new adiZero Prime's maybe being priced outside of most people's budget, the new standard adiZero boots will be the main focus of adiZero wearers looking for their next boot...

The eye-catching redesign of the new adiZero football boots is made even more so with the new bright color combination of white, pink and cyan. Some people will be reminded of the Cyan/White/Pink original adiZero boots that were the third release of the original adiZero's last year. With a lot of pro's choosing to cover up any use of pink on their boots, it's an interesting choice by adidas to color their trademark three strips in the bright color.

The new colorway will no doubt divide opinions and similarities are already being drawn to the Windchill Nike Mercurial boots. With the boot market being dominated by brightly colored footwear, the new White/Pink/Cyan adiZero boots will fit in perfectly. We've already seen their on-pitch debut with Emmanuel Adebayor wearing the leather versions, and expect to see a high number of professional stepping into the new colorway.

By now, most adiZero fans will be aware of the tech changes adidas have made to the new adiZero football boots. Adidas knew that they didn't have to change much from the original. Aside from visual changes, one of the main improvements made to the new adiZero boots is the new and improved Sprint Skin upper.

The single layer synthetic material returns to improve the boots' second skin feel, and has been upgraded to be thinner and lighter than the previous model and also features an engineered grain for enhanced ball control and touch. Perhaps the most obvious benefit is the zero water uptake - meaning this cleat doesn't get heavy even in wet conditions.

Of course, as well as a choice of uppers there are a comprehensive choice of outsoles for different ground conditions. The F50 adiZero boots are available in three distinct sole plates, from soft ground (SG) to firm ground (FG) and also a new hard ground (HG) plate.

The FG plate features the triangular Traxion studs bespoke to the adizero range, placed at strategic positions across the sole unit that aids pressure distribution and are designed to give improved directional grip. The SG plate takes the form of a mixed sole version, which substitutes 6 removable aluminum studs at the toe and heel. Both sole plates offer stability through a sleeker midfoot area that also goes to creating a snug fit.

This new adidas F50 adizero retains the last from the previous adizero, unique to F50 series and differing from the Predator and adiPure lasts with a wider yet flatter footbed. This means the studs can be positioned closer to the outside of the sole, giving greater stability, and improving movement, traction and pressure distribution.

You'll notice the stable and discreet external heel counter is still present, an innovative redesign of a boot essential which intends to lock your heel in as you sprint to evade the opposition. Attached to the heel counter is the outsole construction, dubbed Sprint Frame, the one-piece material takes away the need for a standard insole which reduces the weight yet keeps the boot strong and supported. Simply? Less layers, less materials, less weight!

The new White/Pink/Cyan adidas F50 adizero football boots are expected to cost around £140 GBP/ $200USD, and are set to be available to pre-order on 1st March.

Now you've seen the new White/Pink/Cyan adidas F50 adizero football boots, we'd love to hear your opinions...
