Over the last few weeks, the web has been alive with speculation surrounding a new colourway release for the adizero Prime football boots. Now the SoccerBible can bring you an exclusive and unrivalled look at the brand new White/Radiant Pink/Cyan adidas F50 adizero Prime football boots...
Every once in a while a boot comes along that sets tongues wagging, and the adizero Prime is a boot that has caused a huge debate amongst the football boots community. Over the past twelve months we've seen quite a significant shift in the speed boots market, as the adizero has overpowered the dominate Nike Mercurial series and with the release of the Prime reclaimed the crown as the lightest production football boot.
But for boot popularity we're going to lay the gauntlet down to you the fans! The latest Nike Mercurial release was the Windchill Superfly's and that article received over 5000 'likes' on Facebook, so to test how popular the new adizero Primes are we'll see if they can better the 5000 Facebook 'likes' target.
There's no doubt the adidas F50 adizero football boots have revolutionised the game and the boots market, and despite receiving a mixed reaction from the players, the adizero Prime is expected to take performance to another level by weighing in at a stunning 145grams. This advancement in performance comes at a price though, with the Primes retailing worldwide for around £210 GBP/ $320 USD / €245 EURO / ¥27500 JPY.
The adidas F50 adizero Prime football boots are constructed using a new material upper, thinner to reduce weight and give improved ball feel. The adiLite Twin material is once again a single-layer synthetic upper, and features quite a striking design that really stands out on pitch.
The adizero Primes are the lightest football boots in production, so the question on everyone's mind is how much do they weigh? Well we've had the scales out and the adidas F50 adizero Prime football boots tip the scales at a featherweight 145g! That's 5g lighter than the Puma v1.10 SL football boots their nearest competitor.
One of the innovations for the F50 adizero Prime soccer shoes is the TPU Bottom Frame, which is the main design feature that stands the Prime apart from the standard adizero. The band that runs around the boot and stands-out in a different colour to the rest of the boot, offers lateral stability and support, transfers forces from the outsole to the upper and offers protection against upper abrasion.
One of the major innovations that has enabled the F50 adizero series to become so revolutionary and lightweight, is the creation of the Sprint Frame. This lightweight outsole is engineered to offer stability through geometry and lightweight materials.
Adidas have pioneered a new stud shape and configuration for the F50 adizero football boots, which is called out by multi-coloured studs. The Traxionstuds are shaped for maximum acceleration, but more importantly strategically placed for optimal support and traction during movement.
Comfort and fit is provided by the Internal TPU Support Bands, which offer lateral stability and support. They also re-enforce the single layer material, and are the reason the upper material of the adizero Prime can be so thin, as they maintain the boots' shape.
These brand new adidas F50 adizero Prime football boots are available from selected retailers, they are currently available to pre-order ahead of their release on 1st March, although obviously we can expect to see the pro's in them before this date..
Now we've got you up close and personal to the new adizero Primes we'd love to hear your opinions, and what you think about the latest boots to his the Speed boots market...
