adidas F50 adizero Prime - Under the Microscope

Much like going under the hood of a super-car, we've given the new adiZero Prime's the ultra close-up treatment!

We're bringing you as close to the boot as we can get, showcasing all the specific detailing that has gone into constructing the most revolutionary football boot to date! So feast your eyes on our exclusive super-close up images of the newest White/Pink/Cyan adiZero Prime football boots!

The closer you get to these boots the more remarkable they get! You really get a sense of how much work and consideration goes into making such a unique football boot.

The main feature of the adiZero Prime football boots - the adiLite Twin material - is visible to the finest detail. The adidas adiZero's are the only football boot in the world with an ultra-light seamless single-layer synthetic upper.

The new material upper features new technology that creates just the right tension and flexibility. The adiLite Twin material is a single-layer synthetic designed with minimum material between the ball and your foot.

By acting like a second skin, the material creates a more natural ball touch and feel. A thinner upper most importantly means reduced weight and improved ball feel. Two of the key features of the adiZero Prime football boots.

One of the key innovations of the F50 adizero Prime soccer shoes is the TPU Bottom Frame, which is the main design feature that stands the Prime apart from the standard adizero. The band that runs around the boot and stands-out in a different colour to the rest of the boot, offers lateral stability and support and transfers forces from the out-sole to the upper.

The area where the TPU frame is positioned is the where most abrasion can occur during a game. Abrasion with the ground and the ball can result in damage to the upper of the boot. The TPU bottom frame offers protection against upper abrasion. It protects the boot from any damage it may suffer during a game, giving the shoe a better lifespan.

One of the key technological areas of the adiZero Prime football boots is not visible from the outside of the shoe. The internal TPU Support bands reinforce the single-layer adiLite twin, providing stability when sprinting and bouncing back.

The effects of the internal TPU Support Bands, or 'Support Cage', are most felt during extreme side-cutting movements. The outside and inside support bands are both slightly different in design.

Due to the outside forces of foot movement being greater, the support band on this side of the boot has been designed with thicker stripes. Contrastingly, the inside uses thinner stripes, providing support and stability for the area with less force.

One of the major innovations that has enabled the F50 adizero series to become so revolutionary and lightweight, is the creation of the Sprint Frame. This lightweight out-sole is engineered to offer stability through geometry and lightweight materials.

The structure of the Sprint Frame was inspired through adidas' observation of bridge design. Bridges are designed using very elegant, fluid construction that seemingly allows them to effortlessly support large weights. The adidas Sprint Frame has been designed using exactly the same principles.

It is very minimalistic with some areas just 1mm thick. Remarkably, no additional weight is added to create the much needed stiffness. 'Minimum material for maximum effect' was adidas' key goal when designing the Sprint Frame.

Adidas have pioneered a new stud shape and configuration for the F50 adizero football boots, which is called out by multi-coloured studs. The Traxion studs are shaped for maximum acceleration, but more importantly strategically placed for optimal support and traction during movement.

Coloured to signify different purposes, the front yellow studs are for acceleration. The four blue studs provide stability, while the four outside central purple studs, attached to the stability bars, bring more Traxion like never before.

Sitting near the centre of the sole plate is the new diamond shaped braking stud that allows smoother stud entry into the ground. All of these elements combine to bring players to their top speed quicker than any other football boot.

Not wanting to risk any unnecessary excess weight, adidas include an Ultralight insole that is an impressive piece of engineering in itself. The perforated ultra light insole is the perfect partner for super-light Prime's.

These brand new White/Pink/Cyan adidas F50 adizero Prime football boots are available from selected retailers, they are currently available to pre-order ahead of their release on 1st March.

Now we've got you up close and personal to the new adizero Primes we'd love to hear your opinions. The adiZero's always seems to spark interesting debates with boot enthusiasts so don't hesitate get involved!
