Nike CTR360 Maestri II Football Boots – Gold/White/Black
It has been an exciting week for Nike boots that was headlined by the release of the new Nike Superfly III. Now Nike have treated us to another color-update of the popular CTR360 Maestri II! To tie in with the upcoming 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup, the new Gold/White/Black CTR boots are released as a US exclusive.

In such a short space of time the Nike CTR360 Maestri range of football boots have become one of the most popular football boots around. After a strong player uptake and great performance reviews, the Nike CTR boots continue to go from strength to strength.
The Nike CTR360 Maestri football boots have gained quite a reputation for being one of the most comfortable boots on the market. The comfortable Poron insole remains from the original Nike CTR football boots, and Nike have further padded the heel and added a non-slip material to improve fit. 
The design brief for the Nike CTR360 Maestri II soccer shoes, was to create the ultimate control boot. To achieve this Nike have retained the dampening pods which were such a stand-out feature of the first generation of boots, just with some minor modifications, yet the theory of cushioning the ball and applying more boot surface area to the ball still applies.
On the instep of the boots, the new instep pads have incorporated a combination of technology from the T90 Laser III and the CTR Maestri I. Split into two to cover a larger surface area, the new pads enhance ball control and boost distribution through an innovative fin structure.
Another enhancement Nike have made to the new CTR360 II football boots is to loop the lower laces through the upper material, rather than through material attachments. Nike have addressed the problem some CTR wearers were having with the original boot where the material attachments were breaking off. 
The dual-density stud structure is quite a unique feature of the CTR's and is intended to enhance ball trap control. To what extent they're utilised is questionable, but there's no question the sole-plate configuration is a popular feature, as you very rarely see a player in the CTR360's with a customised sole-plate. 
This new Gold/Black/White colour-way is sure to go down well with CTR fans who have been calling for a colour that didn't have a predominately white upper. There's always something special about a gold boot and this CTR is no exception to that! 
You can expect to see the new Gold/White/Black Nike CTR360 Maestri II football boots hit the shelves from the 1st May for around £130 GBP/$180 USD. With all of Nike's new releases recently, these new CTR360 boots came close to slipping under the radar but we think they'll go down well with boot fans!
