adidas F50 adiZero Football Boots - Electricity/Anodized Purple
If there's one thing that adidas have learnt about getting their boots noticed on pitch, then it's make them as brightly coloured as possible! Adidas continue to take coloured boots to new heights with each release. Fans of more traditional boots be warned!
Never afraid to push the boundaries of football boot design, adidas have certainly conjured up some uniquely coloured boots! The new Electricity/PurpleadiZero football boots are as bright as football boots come, but whether that makes them a more popular choice we'll have to see! Take a look and share your thoughts with the SoccerBible community online.
Football boots simply don't come more outrageous than this! The new Electricity/PurpleF50 adiZero soccer shoes use the same colour pallet as the Anodized Purple/Electricity boots. The same colours have been rotated to create one of the most noticeable boots of the year that certainly won't be camera shy!
Unlike the Electricity/Purple adiZero Prime, the standard F50 adiZero uses a more predominantly yellow upper without the bright purple TPU bottom frame featuring on the boot. The same 'Anodized Purple' colour continues to runs through the front graphic, continuing its way up the boots tongue and heel.
The electric yellow colour used on the new adiZero football boots is reminiscent of the Predator X Electricity that created headlines across the boot world. With the new Sprint Skin upper used on the worlds lightest soccer shoes, the Electricity/PurpleadiZero football boots take that famous electric feel to a new level.
After creating the worlds lightest soccer shoes, adidas' intentions have now turned to claiming the colour-crown from Nike! The latest adiZero releases have made Nike's bright boots look relatively tame. Whereas Nike claim to use carefully considered colour combinations to improve on-pitch visibility, adidas look to be fusing together some of the most outrageous colours available! Its effectiveness however is open to debate.
With such a large range of adiZero colour options open to professionals, it's hard to know what pro's will choose the wear the new Electricity/Purple adiZero football boots once they hit pitches! Any possible sightings of the Electricity/Purple colourway might have to wait until the 11/12 pre-season, with all European seasons coming to a close.
The FG plate features the triangular Traxion studs bespoke to the adizero range, placed at strategic positions across the sole unit that aids pressure distribution and are designed to give improved directional grip. The SG plate takes the form of a mixed sole version, which substitutes 6 removable aluminium studs at the toe and heel. Both sole plates offer stability through a sleeker midfoot area that also goes to creating a snug fit.
Come May 28th, it could be a spectacle of new adiZero's with both Barcelona and Manchester United having a high number of adiZero players. It's hard to speculate, but we would be surprised to see the new Electricity/Purple boots on show in the Champions League final. It could be a different story though for the White/Blue/Slime and Anodized Purple/Electricity boots!
The new Electricity/Purple adidas F50 leather adiZero football boots will retail worldwide for around £140 GBP/ $200 USD / €165 EURO. You will be able to pick up a pair of the new adiZero football boots from early June when they are set for a global release.
