adidas F50 adizero Football Boots - White/Blue/Slime
The new football boots keep coming here at SoccerBible, as adidas roll out their new colourways across the adizero range. Next up is the white/blue/slime adidas F50 adiZero football boots featuring a synthetic upper, and for these versions we thought we'd show you the soft-ground's...
Never afraid to push the boundaries of football boot design, adidas have certainly conjured up some uniquely coloured boots! The new White/Blue/Slime adiZero football boots aren't as bright and bold as their Prime counterpart, but whether that makes them a more popular choice we'll have to see!
The White/Blue/Slime F50 adiZero football boots are unique in their colour combinations, as we can't recall the last boot we saw with this particular combination. The main upper uses a classy white-out, which incorporates the blue adidas 3-stripes and detailing, whilst the green is an addition that runs down the centre of the boot.
Unlike the White/Blue/Slime adiZero Prime, the standard F50 adiZero features a more predominantly white upper without the bright green TPU bottom frame featuring on the boot. And the more tame green colour runs through the front graphic, continuing its way up the boots tongue and heel.
It's hard to know what professionals will wear the new White/Blue/Slime adiZero's, but likely candidates our adidas source has suggested to us include David Villa, Higuain, Forlan, Benzema, Robben and Defoe.
And with the Champions League final on the horizon for Barcelona, adidas will surely make attempts to utilise the exposure of their new speed boots on the biggest stage of all! With Messi seemingly wearing a signature colour-way, that opens the door for the likes of David Villa and Dani Alves to sport a new boot on May 28th!
By now, most adiZero fans will be aware of the tech changes adidas have made to the new adiZero football boots. Adidas knew that they didn't have to change much from the original. Aside from visual changes, one of the main improvements made to the new adiZero boots is the new and improved Sprint Skin upper.
The single layer synthetic material returns to improve the boots second skin feel, and has been upgraded to be thinner and lighter than the previous model and also features an engineered grain for enhanced ball control and touch. Perhaps the most obvious benefit is the zero water uptake - meaning this cleat doesn't get heavy even in wet conditions.
This new adidas F50 adizero retains the last from the previous adizero, unique to F50 series and differing from the Predator and adiPure lasts with a wider yet flatter footbed. This means the studs can be positioned closer to the outside of the sole, giving greater stability, and improving movement, traction and pressure distribution.
The FG plate features the triangular Traxion studs bespoke to the adizero range, placed at strategic positions across the sole unit that aids pressure distribution and are designed to give improved directional grip.
Attached to the heel counter is the outsole construction, dubbed Sprint Frame, the one-piece material takes away the need for a standard insole which reduces the weight yet keeps the boot strong and supported. Simply? Less layers, less materials, less weight!
The new White/Blue/Slime adidas F50 adiZero football boots will retail worldwide for around £140 GBP/ $200 USD / €170 EURO. They will be available to pre-order this week prior to their official release on June 1st.
