adidas F50 adizero Prime Football Boots - Blue/White/Slime
Just when you thought you'd seen all the new boots ahead of the season kick-off, adidas surprise us all by revealing these great looking Blue/White/SlimeF50 adizero Prime football boots. As always SoccerBible is your only stop for exclusive images, so check out the latest addition to the adizero range...
Over the last couple of months the F50 adizero has been slightly overshadowed by it's siblings, with the new adiPower and adiPower SL grabbing the headlines along with the adiPure SL. But almost bursting it's way back to the front of the lightweight speed race are these brand new Blue editions, another interesting addition to the F50 palette.
The adizero has without question been a game changer in the boots industry, as our recent adidas Super Light line-up highlighted. And to remind us of this, adidas have kept the releases coming for their speed boot, with every version seemingly more eye-catching than the previous, which is quite an achievement when you consider some extraordinary colour combinations we've seen!
The new Blue/White//Slime F50 adizero Prime will be one of three adizero's available in this colourway, set to also include the standard adizero and a leather option. All of which are expected to be available from early October, and with so many colour choices it'll be interesting to see which colours your favourite players pick.
It's always hard to call what boots will be popular with the pro's. But when you consider the growing list of players sporting the adidas speed boot, you can imagine any one of them looking good on the pitch. Potentially we could see Leo Messi in this colourway, a nice match for the Barca kit, alternatively take your pick from any one of the following; David Villa, Dani Alves, Samir Nasri, Luis Suarez, Ashley Young, Lukas Podoski, Gareth Bale or Arjen Robben...the list goes on!
Unbelievably, the new Blue/White/Slime adizero Prime soccer shoes are the seventh colour-way released to the growing adizero range. As they're a colour addition, the technology remains the same, but it's worth reminding ourselves after the F50 adizero revolutionised the game and the boots market.
The all new adizero Prime football boots continue to take performance to another level, weighing a stunning 145grams. Over the past twelve months we've seen a significant shift in the speed boots market, with the adizero overpowering the Nike Mercurial series. The release of the adizero Prime has seen adidas reclaim the crown of the lightest production football boot.
The adidas F50 adizero Prime football boots are constructed using a new material upper, thinner to reduce weight and give improved ball feel. The adiLite Twin material is once again a single-layer synthetic upper, and features a striking design that really stands out on pitch.
One of the innovations for the F50 adizero Prime soccer shoes is the TPU Bottom Frame, which is the main design feature that stands the Prime apart from the standard adizero. The band that runs around the boot and stands-out in a different colour to the rest of the boot, offers lateral stability and support, transfers forces from the out-sole to the upper and offers protection against upper abrasion.
The SprintFrame outsole is a revolutionary one-piece chassis; thin, flexible and lightweight, the SprintFrame is the main source of the adizero Prime's speed. Retaining the heel support and rigidity you need from a traditional boot, there is plenty of flex where needed, and a wider stud configuration increases traction and stability for movement. And as a nice touch, adidas have engineered grooves into the outsole to further reduce weight!
The new Blue/White/Slimeadidas F50 adizero Prime football boots continue the eye-catching advancement in performance and technology we've come to expect from the range. We can expect these new versions to be available from 1st October, after going on pre-order leading up to this date, and the price should remain around £210 GBP / $300 USD / €245 EURO.
