adidas adiPure IV Football Boots - Black/Electricity
Here's an adiPure release that almost slipped under the radar! Released the same time as the Champions League Predator and the Anodized Blue F50's, these adiPure's have gone for a very classic look, almost to balance out adidas' eccentric and innovative designs we've been seeing lately...
It seems that adidas have recently raised the bar for boot development, and when you consider some of the designs and colours we've been seeing on the likes of Lionel Messi, Ashley Young and Robin Van Persie, you'd be forgiven for thinking they'd forgotten how to craft a classic leather performance boot. Well, this new adidas adiPure IV football boot in a Black/Electricity colourway disproves that theory, so here's our full unveiling with exclusive photography...
Designed to deliver style and performance, this latest adiPure IV football boot is the epitome of both. It's no coincidence that the adiPure range has established itself as the boot of choice for many of the world's finest exponents of the beautiful game. We're not sure which players we can expect to see in this black and electricity combination, but perhaps it could be the likes of Frank Lampard, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Xabi Alonso.
Amazingly, the adiPure is the 'new kid on the block' compared to the F50 range, yet it seems to have become such a mainstay of the modern boot market. Perhaps that's because it also hasn't avoided the lab treatment, and can boast a trimmed-down weight of 280g, 35g lighter than the previous incarnation.
Another radical overhaul for the adidas adiPure IV football boots, is the repositioning of one of the famous three stripes from the rear to the front of the boot. This subtle shifting of the stripe only enhances the classic retro-look, especially when you combine this with the Electricity colour, to give the adiPure IV added authenticity.
With 'OneTouch' construction the supple K-leather vamp is softer, more breathable and lighter than ever before for a fantastic fit and the ultimate first touch. The new stitching pattern on the vamp supports the natural stretch of the K-Leather for the best fit possible, yet retains consistent performance properties in both wet and dry conditions.
The adidas adiPure IV soccer cleats revert back to the symmetrical construction and central lacing, last seen on the original Pure but this time with a shorter K-leather vamp for a great performance fit and fantastic ball feel.
To help reduce the risk of injury and the stress on the Achilles tendon the adiPure's internal heel stabilizer offers maximum stability and protection, while the shallow external heel counter found on the adiPure III is retained on the latest incarnation.
Renowned for comfort, the latest versions of the adidas adiPure's certainly don't disappoint in this department. They feature a super-soft padded collar and lining, combined with an ergonomically pre-moulded EVA sockliner and extra cushioning inserts in the heel for great comfort and shock absorption. For an additional secure and snug fit the lining incorporates an anti-slip finish, to prevent the boot from rubbing.
The stylish new Black/Electricity adidas adiPure IV football boots will retail worldwide for around £120 GBP / $190 USD / €185 EURO. They're available to pre-order now and are expected to be available from early October.
