adidas adipure 11Pro miCoach Football Boots - Black/White/Slime

adidas adipure 11Pro miCoach Football Boots - Black/White/Slime

The adiPure may have begun life as a no nonsense football boot, offering high-quality with a traditional old-school feel. Fast forward five years since the boots release and adidas have merged heritage with modern innovation in the shape of the adiPure 11Pro, bringing the silo in line with the brands miCoach technology.

Sticking a computer chip inside the adiPure may make the boot less pure, but adidas are continuing to take huge strides in radically overhauling their boot ranges. Kicking off 2012 is the new adidas adiPure 11Pro, the latest release from the 3-stripes to come under the innovation spotlight. To supporting the White/Black/High Energy launch colourway, adidas have released a customary black edition. Take a look at the new Black/White/SlimeadiPure 11Pro and let us know what you think!

The first obvious advancement of the adidas adipure 11Pro football boots to discuss is the integration of miCoach through a cavity in the outsole. The benefit of which is to allow you to compete, share and compare your performance statistics. Measuring time, distance, speed, speed zones and number of sprints during a training session or a match, as the adidas miCoach Speed cell stores all your performance data.

When you've finished your training session or game, you can send your data wirelessly from the miCoach Speed Cell to your PC, MAC or iPhone to view your results and share the results on Facebook, Twitter or YouTube. Then check or compare them against your friends, team mates, opponents and even professional players.

The change this has meant for the adipure is the introduction of the SprintFrame, which we have previously seen on the adipure SL, but both this and the standard sole-plate have been replaced to accommodate the miCoach Speedcell. The SprintFrame is constructed with a more conical stud shape than on the F50, and is a one-piece lightweight engineered outsole which provides a balance between lightweight, acceleration and stability.

As far as the upper is concerned it's business as usual for the adipure, with a soft leather material returning to offer the supreme comfort and ball feel that has won over such players as Bastian Schweinsteiger, Xabi Alonso and Frank Lampard. Although for this installment adidas have opted to use their Taurus leather, a success on the Predator range, and aided by an ultra thin coating to protect the upper in the main kicking areas, making the adidas adipure 11Pro a more durable soccer shoe.

Quite radically for what has become famed as an all leather boot, adidas have interrupted the Taurus leather upper with a midfoot synthetic saddle. The anatomically shaped saddle, featuring the 3-Stripes, provide the adipure 11Pro football boots with excellent midfoot stability.

Comfort is provided by an anatomically moulded EVA insole, similar to the one featured in the adipure IV, but with the benefit of flexzones in the forefoot to assist movement and improve fit. A soft suede synthetic leather lining provides additional comfort, whilst reducing any foot movement within the boots for a more secure fit.

Certainly over the last 18 months adidas haven't failed to surprise the boots community, and we're eager to see the reaction these adidas adipure 11Pro football boots receive. Expected to be available from 1st February, this Black/White/Slime colourway of the 11Pro's are available to pre-order now, and have a global retail price of around £125 GBP / $140 USD / €150 EURO and £175 GBP / $260 USD / €210 EURO with the miCoach bundle.

Whether you're a fan or a sceptic, adidas are continuing to push the boundaries of boot development.
