Puma v1.11 Leather Football Boots - White/Navy/Pink
A leather speed boot. Say that 12 months ago and the v1 range would have quite a unique sale point, albeit coming under a stern test from the adizero. Fast forward 12 months and lightweight, leather and speed are all the rage as the boot market is becomes increasingly awash with this latest desirable performance boot.
The leather Puma v1.11 football boots are facing competition from the adizero, the Tiempo Elite, the Morelia Neo and even the King Final SL. So what sets these boots apart? For a start they have a completely unique performance design, and secondly they've been released in this great looking White/Navy/Pink combination, which is both classy and sharp.
As we've mentioned the market is crying out for leather performance boots, but the v1 range has been offering these for some time. When speed meets comfort, you're certainly onto a winning formula! There is no denying that when it comes to natural materials, kangaroo leather is number one, as the densely packed materials offer a softer and more comfortable feel while also being more durable.
In terms of looks, we can't help but think these new v1.11's have echoes of a 2009 white/pink flash/black Mercurial Vapor, but we don't mind that at all as they were a firm SoccerBible favourite. Constructed from premium kangaroo leather, the Puma v1.11 K Leather soccer shoes have a distinctive look that combines new v1.11 features yet retains some noticeable v1.10 similarities.
One of the stand-out features of the Puma v1.11 football boots is the lace-cover, which takes quite a prominent place on the boot. Held in place by an elastic strap and a TriHook fastener, the v1.11 lace cover ensures a snug fit that provides a smooth kicking area and unique look with the famous Puma cat arching across the front. The central lacing, which sits underneath the newly designed lace cover, makes the boot suitable for various foot-shapes.
The Puma v1.11 K Leather football boots are the third generation boot that uses the special UNI technology, where the upper material is stitched rather than glued to the sole, which marry's the boot together for a consistent fit. This combines with an anti-slip insert under the heel, designed to provide a snug fit, support the foot and prevent slippage.
After giving these latest Puma v1.11 K Leather football boots the SoccerBible lab treatment, we can confirm they tip the scales at just 225g (UK8)! Which to put into context, means the v1.11 K Leather weighs 60g more than the leather F50 adiZero and just 15g more than the Mercurial Superfly III.
This increased stability throughout the Puma v1.11 outsole also enables optimal traction as well as manoeuvrability. This is provided through the unique pointed stud configuration and a Pebax frame that provides support to the outsole. The midfoot area is reinforced with a TPU composite which secures further stability and helps to avoid midfoot bending.
The Puma v1 range has become a jack-of-all-trades, offering super-light carbon fibre versions, synthetic versions and also K leather, but Puma manage to unify the range through the same unique colour combinations being shared by all the boots. These White/Navy/Pink Puma v1.11 K Leather football boots are available to pre-order now ahead of being available from 25th March, and they'll set you back around £160 GBP / $200 USD / €160 EURO, which is slightly more than the synthetic versions but you are paying for the leather..
Now you've had a look at the brand new Puma v1.11 K Leather football boots, are you a fan?
