Nike T90 Laser IV ACC Football Boots - Crimson/Black
You may have seen the boots on-pitch and been impressed with another eye catching colourway from Nike, but the new Crimson/BlackT90 Laser IV football boots are part of a bigger story, they're a part of the Nike ACC collection. A revolution launched across all the Nike silo's, to deliver All Conditions Control...
Enhancing ball control in both dry and wet weather, Nike All Conditions Control (ACC) technology allows the boot's surface to maintain the same level of friction, touch and control for optimum performance. And what better way to announce ACC's arrival, than with the most eccentric colour match-up we've ever seen on the T90.
The weather is a factor affecting every footballer, for example in London alone during the season an average of 125 days will experience some rainfall. Players don't equip themselves with boots specific for hot or wet conditions, and so Nike have ensured a footballer can expect his football boots to perform no matter how tricky passing or receiving a ball may be.
An idea born out of discussions with professional players, including Barcelona's Andres Iniesta, the Nike designers understood the need for consistent touch and feel on the ball, especially in wet conditions. The ACC benefit is created by a special treatment during the development of the upper materials, to deliver the consistent feel on the ball at all times.
Nike's All Conditions Control (ACC) ensures the surface of the boot upper delivers consistent friction between boot and ball in wet weather conditions allowing the player an assure touch similar to the feel of the ball in dry conditions. A design innovation shared across all Nike boots including Mercurial Vapor VIII, Tiempo Legend IV andCTR360 Maestri III.
In terms of performance for the T90, it's business as usual for what Nike describe as the "ultimate strikers boot". Featuring a streamlined silhouette for enhanced fit and feel, while reconfigured shoot and swerve zones on the instep of the boo flex naturally as the foot connects with the ball, enhancing a cleaner strike.
One major adjustments for the fourth instalment of the T90 Laser, is the remodelled studs maximising traction without increasing stud pressure, a feature that has been particularly popular with Wayne Rooney. We can expect to see this new eccentric T90 Laser standing out on pitches across the globe, being sported by big names including Wesley Sneijder, Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Gonzalo Higuain.
The Crimson/Black T90 Laser IV football boots are available to pre-order now ahead of an October 1st launch. The special treatment during the development of the upper and enhanced performance, has resulted in a slight rise in the cost of getting a pair of the new T90 Laser, with the boots expecting to retail worldwide for around £150 GBP / €165 EURO / $210 USD for the firm ground versions, and a little more for the soft ground pro-plate.
A boot designed to deliver a consistent performance in all weather conditions, must be one of the holy grails in terms of boot design. We'll be keen to find out how the ACC Nike T90 Laser IV football boots perform, but let us know what you think?
