Up Close: Michael Carrick Match Worn PUMA Boots

Michael Carrick has been a continuous face of the PUMA PowerCat range. We recently bagged a pair of his match-worn boots used by the Manchester United England midfielder in United's away trip to Liverpool on 23/09/12.

It's not every day you get a pair of boots worn by an EPL and Champions League winner. Thanks to PUMA's For Real campaign, we've gathered quite a collection for you to win! Check out Carrick's PowerCats that were the latest through our studio doors.

Carrick's custom cleats (UK 9.5) were recently given away as part of PUMA's For Real campaign in partnership with SoccerBible. We've already run competitions for match-worn boots from Cesc Fabregas, Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero and Mikel Arteta in what has become an unprecedented opportunity for boot fans.

Following Manchester United's 2-1 away win over Liverpool this September, the boots were signed by Carrick before making their way to SBHQ. In similar fashion to Cesc Fabregas, Carrick has his boots custom fitted with a KING sole-plate with a conical mixed stud design. You can see the glue used in transferring the outsole to the boot.

After nearly three years in the game, PUMA's line-up of PowerCat wearers is the strongest it's ever been. Cesc Fabregas headlines an impressive roster including Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus, Manchester United duo Michael Carrick and Nemanja Vidic, Arsenal's Tomas Rosicky and Bacary Sagna and AC Milan midfielder Nigel De Jong.

We're also giving you the chance to win Radamel Falcao's Super Cup hat-trick evoSPEED football boots. To enter, click here. Stay tuned to SoccerBible for more opportunities to win match-worn boots from PUMA's top players inluding Marco Reus, Mario Gomez, Ibrahim Afellay and Gigi Buffon.
