adidas adizero F50 Football Boots - Yellow/Black/Green
When it comes to speed, few boots have had the same impact as the adidas f50 adizero. Still under three years old, it seems like the adizero has been part of the game for much longer. In a day that only comes around once a year in the boot calender, adidas have officially launched the all new f50 adizero miCoach.
Whether you're an f50 player or not, there's been no escaping the adizero phenomenon in recent years. Led by the world's greatest player Lionel Messi, the f50 silo has fast become adidas' most important football boot. Now four generations in, can adidas maintain the adizero's position at the front of the pack?
Packaged in a vivid Yellow/Black/Green launch colourway, they'll be no missing this boot when Leo Messi steps out wearing them for the first time this week. Launch colours are never shy and although we think Leo would have preferred a less Brazil-friendly look, the boots certainly tick all the right boxes when it comes to on-pitch visibility!
Above much else, it's the aesthetics adidas have tried to tackle and re-energise with the updated design. Our opinion? This is a much stronger looking boot than the first generation adizero miCoach - if possible, they look faster. Symmetrical three-stripe branding offers a bold effect while a new f50 graphic features towards the heel.
For the upper, adidas utilise a newly re-textured adiLite Twin material for the SprintSkin upper. The successful single-layer synthetic which reduces weight has been improved for added ball feel and touch. The interior Sprintweb offers increased lateral stability and support across the mid-foot, transferring the forces from the outsole to the upper.
The Sprintframe outsole has made the adizero the success it is today. The revolutionary one-piece chassis is the main source of the boots speed so it's no surprise to see adidas retain the same construction. The outsole is thin, flexible and super lightweight and since the previous generation adizero, also houses the miCoach speed cell.
The new adidas f50 adizero miCoach football boots will be available to pre-order worldwide from today. Let us know what you think of the new design. Will you be getting a pair?
