adidas Predator LZ SL Football Boots - Silver/Green/Black

adidas Predator LZ SL Football Boots - Silver/Green/Black

Adidas have designed an outrageous new look for the Predator LZ SL, which could possibly trump all Predators that have gone before. The design brief is truly open for the Predator range now, as we embrace synthetics, lighter weight and a colour scheme to make Craig Johnston shudder!

If the new adidas Predator LZ SL football boots were a piece of Pop Art, then they would be making an impact for all the right reasons. The thinking here by adidas, seems to be if they are offering something extra - elite performance - then the boot has to stand-out from it's peers. Think it's safe to say there's nothing like this on the market!

Once your eyes have adjusted(!), and whether you're a fan or not, you have to say the new Silver/Green/Black colour combination is really quite incredible and stunning looking. It's a look that almost begs a Limited Edition, but instead the niche selling point for these new Predator SL's is that they won't be flooded onto pitches across the globe, and at the most a handful of players will wear the boots.

With the initials 'SL' after it's name like a university doctorate, what can we expect from the advanced Super Light version. Weighing 205g, the adidas Predator LZ SL is adidas' lightest ever Predator - 20g lighter than the Predator LZ and 6g lighter than last seasons Predator SL. And replacing the HybridTouch upper material used on the standard edition, the boot is constructed using an adizero-inspired single layer synthetic SprintSkin upper for super lightness.

As for the five lethal zones, it's business as usual on the tech-front. The upper features five zones of technology designed to master all aspects of your game. Each zone was the result of rigorous player testing.

To further reduce weight, the boots come with an ultra light insole with an additional pair of comfort insoles. Completing the super-light upper is the same TRAXION®2.0 FG stud configuration which provides maximum grip and acceleration on firm ground pitches.

The SprintFrame outsole, which balances lightweight construction and stability, remains the outsole of choice for the adidas Predator LZ SL. The SprintFrame was a game-changer when it was first introduced and provides maximum grip and optimum pressure distribution on firm or soft ground.

If you want to own a pair of the Silver/Green/Black adidas Predator LZ SL football boots, expect to pay around £220 GBP / $250 USD / €265 EURO. Only available from limited stockists, the boots have a pre-order date of November 20 and a release date of December 1.

Boot design has embraced the extreme and the eccentric, and the Predator from ten years ago is exactly that - a distant memory. There are exciting times ahead for the ever-evolving adidas Predator, let us know what you think and share your thoughts online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
