Nike CTR360 Maestri III Football Boots - Citrus/White/Black

Nike CTR360 Maestri III Football Boots - Citrus/White/Black

Nike's charge into 2013 has begun, and as the brand once again aims for big things, each of their boot silo's are to receive refreshing updates for the new year. The CTR360 takes on this bold two-tone citrus/black combination decorated with a white 'Swoosh'.

The Nike CTR360 range has fast become a dominant force in the game, despite being a relatively young boot. But the CTR's emergence has reflected a shift from 'power' to 'control' boots. With echoes of the sonic yellow/black launch colours, this new paint scheme won't be viewed as too dramatic.

The CTR360 Maestri III was Nike's first boot to feature All Conditions Control (ACC) technology - a feature that has now been included across each of Nike's four silos. An idea born out of discussions with professional players including Andres Iniesta, Nike designers understood the need for consistent touch and feel on the ball, especially in wet conditions. The ACC benefit is created by a special treatment during the development of the upper materials, to deliver the consistent feel on the ball at all times.

The Nike CTR360 Maestri III has been re-engineered to deliver enhanced control, traction, support and lightweight comfort. Using next generation Kanga-Lite synthetic material for an assured touch and durability. The pass-pad has been revamped for 2012, featuring a 3D control pad which uses separate strips with fins of varying sizes to hug the arch and maximise contact with the ball.

An asymmetrical lacing system enlarges the area used to control the ball and a new streamlined design enhances touch sensitivity. A dimpled texture on the mid-foot doesn't just offer an aesthetics but also increases friction, once again aiding the players control and touch. The FG boots also use a more responsive sole-plate featuring a 360 degree stud placement; perfect for a midfielder's constant turns and cuts.

The Citrus/White/Black Nike CTR360 Maestri III football boots are available to pre-order now ahead of a January launch for around £145 GBP / €175 EURO / $190 USD (FG) and £155 GBP / €190 EURO / $210 USD (SG), and we can expect to Andres Iniesta, Jack Wilshere and Ganso all sporting the new look.
