Nike Release New Colourway For The CTR360

Ready for the 2013/14 season Nike have released a new Blue/Volt/Black colourway for the CTR360 Maestri III. The stylish new update will appeal to those who like their boots on the brighter side and will undoubtedly be on the feet of Andres Iniesta next season.

Nike have been busy of late, what with release of the HyperVenom and the Premier and now they've dropped new paint jobs on both the CTR360 and the Mercurial. The Blue/Volt/Black is the CTR360's eighth colourway to be added to the Maestri III franchise and we reckon the colour combo works.

The CTR360 has seen some strong designs in the past but we think the new colourway stacks up against its past incarnations pretty well. The use of two shades of blue is cool and the flashes of volt and black give the boot a great overall look. Although one for the louder set, it's not overkill when compared to some of this season's other releases.

A recognised fan favourite, the CTR360 is up there with the best boots in the game, worn by midfield supremos including Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets, Ganso, Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. It's not just midfielders who recognise their performance benefits. Mario Balotelli and Carlos Tevez are both long-term wearers of the CTR silo.

The CTR360 Maestri III was Nike's first boot to feature ACC technology - a feature that has now been included across each of Nike's four silos. An idea born out of discussions with professional players including Iniesta. The ACC benefit of consistent touch and feel in wet and dry is created by a special treatment during the development of the upper materials, to deliver the consistent feel on the ball at all times.

The Nike CTR360 Maestri III is engineered to deliver enhanced control, traction, support and lightweight comfort using next generation Kanga-Lite synthetic material. The revamped pass-pad on the Maestri III featuring a 3D control pad, uses separate strips with fins of varying sizes to hug the arch and maximise contact with the ball.

An asymmetrical lacing system enlarges the area used to control the ball and a new streamlined design enhances touch sensitivity. A dimpled texture on the mid-foot doesn't just offer an aesthetics but also increases friction, once again aiding the players control and touch. The FG boots also use a more responsive sole-plate featuring a 360 degree stud placement; perfect for a midfielder's constant turns and cuts."

The new Blue/Volt/Black Nike CTR360 Maestri III football boots will be available to order from selected online stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer.
