Puma x Hublot Special Edition Falcao evoSPEED Football Boots - Black/Gold

Puma x Hublot Special Edition Falcao evoSPEED Football Boots - Black/Gold

PUMA have collaborated with luxury watch maker Hublot to land another special pair of evoSPEED football boots. Falcao is the man centred around this partnership as his boot sponsor and Hublot come together to create a thing of pure footballing beauty.

Falcao signed a personal endorsement agreement with Hublot this year and to continue PUMA's impressive collaboration collection the two parties have joined forces to create these bespoke boots. It has been a summer of big price tags for Falcao, he's completed a £50 million move to Monaco and if you want to own a pair of these evoSPEED boots you'll be looking at splashing out five figures for the watch they come with.

We've already had a look at the titanium evoSPEED boots that come complete with $17,000 Hublot watch, 60 of those have been released and PUMA have also created an evoSPEED 1.2 colourway which arrive complimentary with the 40 limited edition Hublot watches priced at a cool $40,000. Quite a lot for a watch we think you'll agree. In our book you shouldn't spend $40k on anything you can't drive or live in.

The collaboration is part of a wider campaign that brings PUMA, Hublot and Falcao together to raise money for the terrible living conditions in Falcao s Caribbean birth town - Grand Lagoon, Santa Marta.

Hublot is the official timekeeper for the forthcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, although we doubt referees will be blinged up with a 40 grand watch and unfortunately our Hublot watch must have been lost in transit as we only received the boots...

The boots themselves bear no secondary 'PUMA' branding. Instead PUMA bring a luxury metallic gold to their iconic form stripe, combining with a beautiful black upper in either leather or synthetic depending on your preference.

The luxury inner lining material is taken from the Hublot watch strap, the woven Hublot label in the footbed and the printed Hublot logo on the heel tab. Underneath PUMA house a carbon-fibre foil beneath the tinted transparent outsole which is marked with Faclao's signature and the Hublot brand logo. The outsole is signed off with metallic red studs.

The most annoying thing about these? They're probably the best evoSPEED colourway we've seen and we'll never get the chance to own them. If PUMA released them as a standard boot we reckon they'd be pretty damn popular.

The boots were officially launched in Colombia on 13 June, 2013, in Bogota at a VIP event. The launch was to coincide with the 1 year countdown to the start of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, with Hublot as official timekeeper and watch supplier of the tournament. Let us know what you think of the boots online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
