adidas Release Limited Edition White Copa Mundial
Every now and again a boot arrives that's just that little bit more special then your standard launch and that's what adidas have delivered here. The Copa Mundial is undoubtedly one of the greatest boots of all time and now, 31 years after it's release, adidas have added a second colourway to their most famous boot.
We all get innovation, it's impressive, it develops with the game and can aid your performance but sometimes taking a step backwards to go forwards can be equally as effective. The Copa Mundial is the ultimate black and white boot and is still as popular now as it was back in 1982 but now adidas have reversed the colours to launch a limited edition white/black Copa Mundial. 
Released in 1982, the Copa Mundial is the best-selling boot in football history and has been worn by some of the all-time greats including Franz Beckenbauer, Michel Platini, Zico Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. Since then it has been sold over 10 million times and was actually the last revolutionary product innovation created by sporting goods legend and founder of the adidas brand Adi Dassler. He had been personally involved in the early development of the original Copa Mundial before he passed away in 1978.
Going through very slight changes since the boot was designed for the 1982 World Cup in Spain, the Copa continues to be made in Scheinfeld, close to adidas HQ in Germany. Tech wise it boasts a kangaroo leather upper and additional leather provided on the heel, intended to improve durability and stability. Three decades later that all remains but now all wrapped up in a white/black paint job. 
Everyone's owned a pair of Copas at some point and few will disagree that they're one of the most comfortable boots you'll ever wear, the ultimate pair of mouldies. They'll be a few in the 'Copa's should always be black' camp but we'd have to disagree after seeing these, as far as limited editions go these are up with the very best, so simple but so brilliant. What the Copa lacks in technology it more than makes up for in quality and class.
