adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 Football Boots - Enlightened Pack
The newest silo in adidas' armoury, the Nitrocharge, was given the reflective treatment this week as part of the brands 'Enlightened' pack. Worn last night by Stefan Kiessling, Phil Jones and Bayern Munich keeper Manuel Neuer, the new edition is the first to feature a non-electricty Energysling.
The Nitrocharge has had an impressive debut season so far, managing to gather a strong professional following that even includes Predator faithful Steven Gerrard. Now with an all-black colourway, adidas have what many would consider a dream boot. It's just a shame they're limited edition.
The adidas Nitrochagre has really impressed since its launch in May, but one criticism has been the the consistent colour of the Energysling. For the 'Enlightened' edition, adidas married the black upper with a black Energysling, something that could signal adidas' intentions going forward.
Armed with a new array of boot technology, the adidas Nitrocharge is targets the team's 'engine', the box to box midfielder. The Nitrocharge features totally new innovations from the adidas lab that are inspired by spring geometry to provide maximum energy output. The Energysling is a high-elasticity rubber band designed to support side-cut and turn movements.
Inspired by spring geometry, a new high-elasticity material titled Energypulse, provides high energy output during toe-off phase. Built on adidas' sprintframe construction with Traxion shape studs, the responsive chassis enables optimum energy output by returning to shape far quicker.
