Mizuno land new Neo colourway as part of their Winter 13 collection.

Mizuno Morelia Neo Football Boots - Black/White/Lime

Mizuno have landed a new colour update on their impressive Morelia Neo silo as the Japanese brand start to drop their winter 13 collection. The Neo has become a serious contender in the speed boot market in the last couple of seasons and the new black/white/lime colourway is another top addition to an already strong back catalogue of Neo paint jobs.

The Morelia Neo is one of the few modern speed boots that stays true to classic kangaroo leather. The use of premium natural material across the Neo is one of its strongest assets. The k-leather provides a luxurious, quilted feel as the stitch lines enhance the sense of touch. All that quality weighs in at a feather light 170g.

By using soft kangaroo leather Mizuno eliminate that hard and plasticy feel found on some other speed boots, the Neo offers a comfortable and typical leather feel, only much, much lighter. Rather than pack the upper with a mixture of materials Mizuno opt for a simplistic all leather look. A black speed boot is always going to be popular and the touch of lime gives the latest edition a nice balance of heritage and modern characteristics.

The Mizuno Morelia Neo has been a breakthrough speed boot and it's not hard to see why. A super lightweight boot is built with traditional Mizuno values at its core. They've gained a real following since first launching back in 2011 due to the fact that they're one of the lightest full leather boots on the market - an attribute that has attracted flocks of leather enthusiasts.

To deliver lightweight speed traction, Mizuno use their engineered Pebax sole plate - much lighter than TPU - which provides enhanced durability and greater flexibility. Using different densities in the heel and forefoot, Mizuno have created a flexible and rigid supportive unit for the Neo.

The new black/white/lime blue drop is the ninth colourway to feature on the standard edition Mizuno Morelia Neo football boots and will be worn by the likes of Hulk, Roque Santa Cruz, Jonas and Carl Jenkinson. The fact that every Neo colourways has impressed is a testament to the brand and to the silo and the new black/white/lime colour up continues that trend.

The new Black/White/Lime Mizuno Morelia Neo will be available later this month from selected stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer. What do you reckon? Let us know. Join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
