A close up look at the new Under Armour silo prototype.
A brand new Under Armour silo, labelled as the ClutchFit, appeared at White Hart Lane on Sunday via the feet of Michael Dawson and we've got our hands on a prototype pair to take a closer look at what Under Armour have lined up.
The brand are keeping their cards close to their chest regarding the tech aspects of the new boot but we're hearing the player feedback has revealed the boots are "not like anything players have felt before, a truly unique fit and feel". We've been aware that Under Armour have been dying to get the boot on pitch for some time, a boot they're confident is the most comfortable to date and the ClutchFit is edging closer to release.
The all white boot featured here is a prototype with the first official ClutchFit colourway launching soon. Under Armour have worked closely with their athletes on the ClutchFit and both Michael Dawson and Brad Friedel have been testing them with the same feedback being provided - the most comfortable boot they've ever worn during their careers. With those sort of statements we're expecting the ClutchFit to be a serious contender in the comfort market.
The ClutchFit is taking comfort to the next level with a lightweight second skin and the sharp design is the perfect canvas for Under Armour to land their debut paint jobs. Keep your eyes fixed on White Hart Lane in the coming weeks as the official ClutchFit colourways will begin to appear on pitch before the retail release later in the year.
The 4D Foam footbed molds to the shape of the players foot to reduce any stud pressure and for a personalised fit that improves in comfort every time they're slipped on. The 3D textured layer on the upper of the ClutchFit is designed for improved ball control to create a boot with the perfect combination of comfort and control.
The ClutchFit will join Under Armour's ever growing and impressive line up of football boots that includes the new Blur Carbon IV as the brand continue to break into the English market and establish themselves as a genuine footballing brand. For players who seek a boot away from your mainstream Nike, adidas and PUMA then Under Armour are beginning to be seen as the new cool kids on the block by applying their own concept and innovations to offer a quality alternative.
