Umbro Freshen Up Speciali Collection

Duo of new paint jobs land on Umbro's iconic heritage boot.

Umbro have updated their famous Speciali collection by landing two new colourways on the fourth generation boot. One typically black classic Umbro paint job and another more daring drop plastered in bright orange, each offering a contrast in appearance but both sharing one important aspect in common - optimum comfort.

In recent years Umbro releases have been few and far between but more recently the brand have picked up the pace and are beginning to return to their famous and established selves. Rich in history with a distinguished back catalogue, Umbro are regarded as the true British footballing brand and with the capture of Everton next season and more product launches lined up the Umbro comeback is officially on.

Umbro traditionalists will no doubt prefer the black/orange Speciali 4, with some already planning on switching those laces for a black pair. But for the younger generation, who have only been introduced to the brand, the orange/black combo is a modern alternative as the brand continue to reinvent themselves but without forgetting their successful past.

Comfort is buried deep into the DNA of the Umbro Speciali and the soft-touch collar lining provides increased comfort and fit with additional memory-foam on the tongue further aiding fit and enhancing comfort. The boot is contoured from the original Speciali last, known for its snug professional fit and is widely regarded as one of the most comfortable boots on the market.

Over the last 20 years, the Speciali has graced the feet of some of the game s greats and that doesn't get achieved unless you've got a world class product. Umbro use their finest grade soft leather on the Speciali with an improved vamp package for expert touch when recieving the ball. The upper is flexible and packs the ability to mould the players foot in the way that only a traditional leather boot will.

In an effort to reduce weight and maintain quality, the Umbro Speciali 4 utilises a combination of full-grain leather and microfibre upper materials. The forefoot and instep comprise of full-grain leather, ensuring the Speciali's famed quality and comfort, while the rest of the boot is made from a microfibre to help shave off some extra grams.
